Brought my 5 year old Mosquito Magnet Back to Life
Without a Mosquito Magnet operating in our Massachusetts backyard it is impossible to eat supper on our deck. We have had a Mosquito Magnet running each summer for more than ten years.Unfortunately, Mosquito Magnets are poorly designed and fail to ignite after months to years of usage. After failure to ignite, you need to take the unit apart and, at a minimum, take out and clean the nozzle that sprays propane into the combustion chamber with carburetor cleaner. This is going to take a few hours at a minimum. The best online description of how to make a Mosquito Magnet work again is an article available online entitled “Mosquito Magnet Tune-Up” by Angerman. There are also a few other good videos. My experience is that cleaning the nozzle has the biggest effect. This can be done without disassembling the combustion chamber. I had been doing this successfully every year with a five year old unit, but this year, no amount of nozzle cleaning made it functional. Purchasing and installing this nozzle made my mosquito magnet work again. The hole in the nozzle was clearly larger than that in the old clogged nozzle and the unit is producing more heat than before and catching mosquitoes and no-see-ums. It was well worth the price given the time it takes to take the unit apart, clean the non-functioning nozzle, put it back together, and wait to see if it works.Pictures show a five year old Mosquito Magnet which works well after replacing the nozzle and the inside of the unit with the circuit board lifted off.

Amazing!
I've been fighting with my mosquito magnet for the last few years, doing a bunch of voodoo steps to get it going with each new propane tank. It finally stopped altogether but then I stumbled onto this. I found the YouTube video and installed the new nozzle in about 15 minutes. The M.M. just took right off like it's new. Sure, it costs a bit but it's well worth it. I ordered a second one because I have another M.M. that is just starting to act up some.My only suggestion is that the seller should include a little slip of paper pointing to the installation videos.I'm upset that the manufacturer doesn't explain this. I bet I've thrown away two M.M.s because of this problem and one time I did an exchange with a repair place for $150 and I bet this is all they did to sell mine to another person. Quite a secret money-maker.

Fits Patriot Plus well
My unit would not stay on for more than 30 minutes. I cleaned it multiple times with CO2 to no luck. Did some research and found out this is often the problem. I ordered this to replace the old one. The old one was in really bad shape. Took about 45 minutes to do. Problem Fixed! Works perfectly once again. I use a CO2 cartridge after every bottle of propane. I run it about 6 months a year and the original lasted 3 years.

Fixed My Fast Bling Red Light! Yay.
I cleaned the original fuel nozzle and had good fuel flow, however the Mosquito Magnet would not work. After changing the Fuel Nozzle the system came to life. Thanks!!

Super easy fix!
So I had my M.M. Patriot plus get thrown down a hill. (Thanks neighbor dog...) I thought it was a goner. It was not working and after taking it apart, cleaning it and making sure everything was working I was about to toss it. Than I found this little gem. Read some reviews saying this was the fix. AND BY GOLLY IT WAS! So worth it! In about 15 min I was back in business killing mosquitos. And the best part is the repair is very simple!

Mosquitoes are dying again!!!
I was a little hesitant to buy this because I wasn't sure my valve was the problem. I've been trying for months to get my mosquito magnet working. I tried changing the propane tank, lots of those CO2 cartridges, changing the mosquito trap out, tried turning it off and on a bunch of times, tried crossing my fingers. I was about to throw it away but thought I'd try a quick google. A lot of people recommended replacing this valve. When I pulled mine apart, it was definitely pretty nasty. In the photo, you can see the valve provided by this seller on the left and the old nasty one on the right. It was much easier to replace that I was expecting. Probably 10 minutes total. The first time I tried to start it up, it switched to the solid red light and is currently sucking up mosquitoes again. Thank goodness. The mosquito magnet has been a godsend.
