Didn’t realize it was much cheaper at the store but I was hungry and too pregnant to leave the house

Crunchy cookies with a sweet taste. Convenient and resealable "LIFT" tab to open/close the package.
These Chips Ahoy Candy Blast Cookies have a crunchy taste; but, the cookies are not hard to bite into (unlike a brand of crunchy granola bars where biting into it is akin to biting a rock). While I prefer cookies that are more on the softer/chewy side, these crunchy cookies are decent to eat and taste sweet.I would have preferred for each cookie to have more pieces of candy than what I saw of the cookies I ate. Some cookies had 3-4 candies on them; others had just 1-2 candies. Furthermore, some of the cookies has just 1-2 candies, and on that same cookie, had just 1-3 chocolate chips.I'd like for there to have been a more generous amount of chips and/or candies.I measured one cookie - it's about 2.5 inches in diameter.I liked the packaging - there is a detailed picture of the type of cookie and content that you would get from this product. I wished the cookies I ate had as many candies on them as what was shown on the packaging.I also liked the "LIFT" tab - this made it easy to open the package to get access to the cookies; the tab is re-sealable.The 18.9-oz Family Size product works great for our family, as there's enough for the kids to last a week or so.The kids love these cookies; they love sweet stuff. We'd buy this particular brand of Chips Ahoy Candy Blast cookies for the kids, to add to their rotation of sweet snacks. We do monitor the kids to ensure that they snack in moderation.I prefer the regular Chips Ahoy cookies that contain more chocolate chips and are more on the softer/chewy side.As for the nutritional aspect, 2 cookies contain:160 calories4.5 gm saturated fat110 mg sodium11 gm total sugars1 gm proteinThe expiration date can be found near the "LIFT" tab (see picture). This particular pack I got expires Sept 5th, 2019. It will be greedily gobbled up by the kids well before that time, lol!

Larger package with (apparently) larger, more colorful cookies. cookies
Chips Ahoy cookies have been around for more than half a century, so my review focuses on what's different with the Candy Blast Family Size Cookies Pack.Size: At 18.9 Oz, you get more than a pound of cookies. Apparently the "family" expects more of each cookie because the label stated the 33g serving size is 2 cookies vs the regular Chips Ahoy shows a 33g serving size of 3 cookies. My perception is the cookies are a bit thicker.Eye appeal: Every kid (even the "big kids" appreciate a little more color in their snacks. The "Candy Blasts" version of Chips Ahoy cookies includes several colorful candy coated chips in addition to the regular uncoated chips in each cookie.Taste: To me, the Candy Blasts version of the Chips Ahoy cookies taste the same as regular Chips Ahoy. That puts them as a 3 in the 5 point chocolate chip cookie scale -with home baked Toll House cookies as a 5, followed by bakery baked chocolate chip cookies as a 4, Keebler and Chips Ahoy both get a 3, followed by off brand chocolate chip cookies cookies as a 2, and cheap off brand cookies at 1 point.Nutrition: Don't expect any cookie to be considered as health food. These Chips Ahoy cookies include sugar, corn syrup and hydrogenated palm kernal oil and presevatives. One serving has 8 g of fat and 22 g of sugars and 110 milligrams of sodium.. but you do get 1 gram of protein.Value: At the date of this review, the Prime Pantry 18.9 oz package of Candy Blast Chips Ahoy was selling for $3.56 as compared to a 18.2 oz package of regular Chips Ahoy for $2.72, so both seem to be a better deal than the 13 oz package at $2.56. But prices vary day to day, so don't take my word for it.

In the mood for a good chocolate chip cookie?
If you’re looking for a nice, basic chocolate chip cookie flavor, then give this a try! Its flavor is good but nothing very different from the regular CHIPS AHOY! chocolate chip cookies, even with the “candy bits”, but that’s not to say it isn’t a great cookie. They size of the cookies are perfect for keeping yourself in check and not overdoing it, and the cookies hold up very well while you munch away. They aren’t chewy but they aren’t crumbly either. A nice, basic cookie. The family pack size is great if you you’re purchasing these for an event or a large family, but I don’t know that a single person could responsibly get through the entire pack before the cookies started to taste a bit stale.

OK, but can't hold a candle to regular Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies
These Candy Blast Chips Ahoy cookies are BIG, a lot bigger than their regular chocolate chip cookies. As always, I appreciate the resealable packaging that Chips Ahoy uses. The taste is....good. The candy bits are basically faux M&Ms, but don't taste nearly as good...they're very sweet. There are plain chocolate chips in each cookie as well, but they get overwhelmed by the candy sweetness. My kids and I both like this cookie, but they're sitting up in the cupboard mostly untouched, because the kids want regular Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies for their after-dinner snacks. Definitely a good cookie, but I doubt we'd buy more when these run out.

Fun Twist of Chips Ahoy! Standard Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chips Ahoy cookies are well known for their flavor - a bit dry for my taste. I do like the crunch, however.Candy blast is a colorful twist on the standard chocolate chip cookie. Just basically sugary colored coating on "fudge" which is a chocolate chip, to me.A fun cookie - kids love them. As far as the taste goes, there is room for improvement if you are a cookie connoisseur.

Classic chips ahoy cookie with candy bits
If you like the classic chips ahoy chocolate chips cookies, I don’t see how this wouldn’t be a huge hit. I personally like the chewy version of these but these are a huge hit in our household. I took off a star because they came broken to bits. I think a solid 60% of the cookies. I hope this was because ups kicks it all the way from the warehouse. They were still crunchy and fresh so the resealable bag is working.

Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookie
This is a crunchy chocolate chip cookie. It's a little crunchier than their regular cookies which I think is from the "candy blasts" or generic M&Ms. It tastes the same as a normal crunchy chips ahoy! cookie where the cookie taste is stronger than the candy. If you mixed these up in a blind taste test it would be difficult to tell the difference between the two.
