Samsung 49-inch RU8000 Dynamic Crystal Colour Smart 4K TV [Energy Class A]

Before buying this tv I did lot of research about 7000-8000 models. For this ru8000 on internet you can find lot of bad reviews about dark, bad picture, also you can find reviews telling that picture is beautiful. So, I ordered and did gambling with this as I never saw this tv in person and im this situation I won. If you read anywhere about bad picture just ignore it, as it is written by morons. Picture is GREAT! I'm using this tv only for 2 days now but it is best money spend. Connected with my a/v amp and ps4 pro and it is heaven. Most of all, I was worrying about 1080p upscaling, as LOT of TV's are doing bad job and movies looking like crap compared to old 1080p tv. I can confirm that upscaling is GREAT and movies are looking 10 times better then in original 1080p tv. Gaming is also fenomenal as input lag is very low. I did a LOT of research and I can say for this price point, this is definitely best tv out there. How long this tv will last we will see, but for now I can say only good things.

Upgrading from a midrange Samsung from 2012 to a midrange Samsung from 2019 is as expected a huge upgrade. The first most obvious difference is how vibrant the colours are compared to my previous set. The unit also feels very well put together and solid. It doesn’t creak or crack when you move it about.I bought the RU8000 primarily for gaming due to its super low input lag of around 14ms in gaming mode. After much research Samsung seem to make the best TV’s with gaming in mind. The Q series sets above this in the product line up still have great input lag but you need to jump to the Q70 to get a noticeable improvements in picture or sound for movie watching. The Q60 is basically the same as this but in a different body making the RU8000 great value. If you’ve got spare cash then opt for the Q70 with local dimming and beefier internal audio - though most people will be very happy with the all round quality of the RU8000 and won’t feel short changed.

Really good, really impressed. Used for HD TV / films / sports, also gaming on Xbox One and gaming PC running games at 4K connected at HDMI. All looks stunning. Can’t comment on the TVs sound as have it running through a surround sound home theatre system via optical, which works flawlessly.

Worked perfectly out of the box. Connecting to wifi was a bit of a pain because of the on screen keyboard, but it doesn't have to be done very often! Picture super, 4k upscaling works well on 1080p source, but of course 4k content looks brilliant. Sound is better than I expected after reading some specialist reviews before purchase. Definitely recommend.

This is a fab tv. The picture is sharp and bright. The online content is easy to access once the accounts are linked. The sound is also decent and clear. One negative is it requires 2 tv controllers. Plus for sky tv boxes the standard sky tv controller is required as the samsung one provided does not work well.

I love this TV, however the screen keeps on dimming. I have checked the eco solutions and fixes online but the only thing that fixes it is turning it off and back on at the plug and this resets all the settings, the sky set up, the link to the sound bar etc.Going to contact support. Hopefully it is just my TV. Other than that it is a decent telly.

Beautiful tv, great picture quality. WiFi connection to tv is brilliant, can use the internet effectively on the tv

I think the tv is amazing. We got the 49" and it delivered perfectly to our expectations.Image is bright, clear and 4k is impressive.Fyi - you don't have a regular sound Jack anymore so hdmi/optical for audio connections.
