Excellent product and very good solution
it's great that we are moving towards the one cable solution but unfortunately we are not there yet. This adds all most of the legacy ports back onto my Macbook Pro and it works with no issues at all. It has a 4K hdmi port which comes in handy when connecting to a TV or monitor, usb A for peripherals, a much welcome SD card reader and of course a usb type c for pass through charging.The hub is really easy to use, just plug in and begin using. The hub has a nice design coming in a space grey that matches that of the Macbook Pro, it also has a slim form factor making it look nice and sleek. Even though it has a small form factor it does stick out a bit so you might want to bear this in mind if you intend to leave it in when carrying it around. I personally would take it off whilst in transit to reduce the chance of it getting damaged.Those who use protective cases with their laptop will not be able to use this with the bottom part of your protective case as it needs to sit flush against the side of the mac, so it means taking off your case every time you want to use the hub.Overall it's an excellent product, it's well built, quite strong, sturdy, durable and compared to a lot of the competitors it offers very good value for money. Great looking product
Plugged it in and everything I asked it to do it did. An SD card that had set itself to "read-only" on another hub worked as R/W instantly. The double plug really holds the unit to the laptop with absolutely no wobble. Highly recommended.

Elegant, simple, functional
I got the hub because my laptop only has USB-C ports and the adapter supplied only has 1 USB port. Fortunately, this docking station has two connections and controls with an HDMI port. The device also looks very elegant and has a metal shell. I think it's good that the cable can be attached to the device when it is being transported. Also, my notebook has no connection for SD cards, which is now done by the SD card connections of the adapter.Everything works without problems 👍🏽 Plug and Play.I can recommend it.

excellent item
bought this item recently , all ports working fine , fast speed on data transfer. would recommend. This usb port has multiple functions. I even attached my Bluetooth mouse via this adaptor onto my iPad pro and it works just fine. Great purchase for those needing small and reliable usb c adaptor on the go. Price could be a little bit cheaper but as I was in the market for one, on balance, it was worth the value.

It does what it says
I bought this to add USB and most importantly HDMI to my new M1 Mac to mirror the screen to my 32@ smart tv.The docking type is much tidier than the cable attached types and has the HDMI going out the back of the Mac which is even better as I really don't like cables hanging out all over the place.It looks good and works perfectly.Recommended!

it's easier to take it out from Mac than to take out anything you plugged into it
that's why 4 stars, sometimes I would plug my hard drive into the hub and when trying to unplug something else, the whole hub would go because of its "grips" and so my drive would come off too even though I didn't want it too. So before unplugging stuff from the hub, hold it with your hand to secure its connection with mac.

Could be better
Fits perfectly well with the macbook pro. All key ports - HDMI, USB and sd card reader make it a versatile product. The downside is that it developed problems in less than an year. All peripherals lose connection if the adapter moves even slightly, and detection of HDMI has become a hit and miss.
