and I'm 100% satisfied with that purchase
I purchased the "refurbished" First Act MG394 "parlor" guitar (36") about a month ago, and I'm 100% satisfied with that purchase. It shipped in the original First Act packaging and everything was "as new" with no flaws of any kind. It's well finished and constructed, looks and sounds good, holds tune, and came with spare strings and an introductory "free lessons" certificate in the box. PS: The strings are actually pretty nice, maybe they were the "refurbished" part?

First Act Guitar
I was just happy to get it at first but when I looked at it further I noticed that they didn't package it well at all. The neck was sticking out the box and showed some wear from the travel. The the second thing I noticed is that it would not tune due to the fact that the bridge is coming apart from the body. So not a happy camper. Then again it was only $50.

First Act Acoustic Guitar review
The media could not be loaded. I got this guitar in pink and while it's a decent starter guitar I believe that you can get a better one for your money. In the video I Unbox and go more indepth with the review, check it out.

Great 3/4 size guitar
I bought a First Act MG394 Acoustic Guitar at a local store about 4 months ago, because I recently began learning how to play the guitar. As soon as I got it, I replaced the strings with Martin Light Gauge and had the tech adjust the saddle to lower the action. This small guitar is great for practicing! It isn't a brand-name guitar, to be sure, but it isn't a toy guitar. It's a 3/4 size guitar with a nice crisp sound, a fairly playable fretboard, and it holds its tune.I've been playing it every day for over 4 months without any problems. It is light weight, very portable, and convenient. I've been carrying it in a gig bag to a local guitar club every week. The only disadvantage is that it doesn't have very good resonance on some bass notes, especially on the 6th string, and it's not as loud as my brand-name dreadnought (that's the reason I didn't give it five stars). To be honest, my dreadnought seems now very bulky and heavy compared to my easy-to-carry, easy-to-play First Act guitar!I highly recommend the First Act MG394 Acoustic Guitar for a child or an adult who is learning how to play.

Good, But a little Pricey...
I had the guitar for a while, and its alright I guess. It's a half sized guitar, better for children. Don't worry, Im not as much as a idiot to buy the 100 thousand dollar one. I got the 25$ one at walmart. So, Get it for your kid. Something to mess around on. BUt dont spend $99,999 on it.

Amazing little guitar
I got the First Act MG394 guitar at WalMart and couldn't be more pleased! For its size it has plenty of everything.I am smaller framed and this guitar fits me perfectly. The tone is nice and warm, the action is low which is great for learners and the music that comes out of this baby is....amazing. Use a pick and you'll hear what I mean. I definitely recommend the MG394 for both adults and kids.
