Cute, durable product
This is a super cute backpack! I love all the animals that the backpack comes in, especially the zebra, raccoon, penguin, bee, and giraffe. I generally try to keep things gender-neutral for my son... I can't stand all the footballs, baseballs, dinosaurs, cars, trucks, and airplanes that are plastered all over boys' products. There is a great selection of gender-neutral backpacks in this line, and they're all adorable. We ended up going with the giraffe, since both my husband and I liked it. Our son is too young (22 months) to have a preference in the animal character we bought, but he still loves this backpack. It's a little big for him in that when he carries it on his back it's almost as big as he is, but he still loves it and we keep it light enough to where it doesn't topple him over. It's been great for carrying stuff to daycare during the week and even when we go out on the weekend. It hasn't replaced his diaper bag, but he keeps a couple of toys/books in there that he wants.Overall, this is a product that I would recommend. It appears to be durable, although I should have thought about the light color of the giraffe print. The light cream color has already gotten dirty, but it seems like the material is easy enough to wipe clean.

My 20 month old loves it and so do I ...
My 20 month old loves it and so do I. Haven't taken it on our trip yet but we do own other Skip Hop items that have held up very well. I originally planned on getting the Skip Hop Zoo Safety Harness but with comparison between the two the backpack it is just slightly larger. My daughter is 34 in tall and the bag sits just slightly over her bottom ( but it's not overwhelming on her ) . I plan on adding my own harness that can detach ( to be used only at our international airport) It's always crazy busy there.FYI: If you don't care about brands you can get JiaYou Unisex Baby Kid Casual PU Bag Daypack Animal Style Schoolbags Backpack for about half the price. I don't know the quality but ran across it when I was looking for a matching rolling luggage for the skip hop backpack.

ADULT Lunch Bag - Totally Cute and WELL MADE! NOTE: SQUISHABLE FANS Check this out!
1. CUTE!2. WELL MADE3. Add an additional Thermal bag inside main compartment for extra cold area if using as lunch box for an adult. This giraffe backpack is totally cute and so well made.We use it as a lunchbox for an adult (who says you have to grow up* and using a boring square non-descript lunch bag/box?!?!.)The only problem we had was PICKING one out! There are just soooo many adorable designs! We bought a small "Thermal Cooler Insulated" bag to go in the main compartment, as the front (mouth) section is a bit small if you have a lot of cold items (sandwich, yogurt, juice box, & fruit).* As SQUISHABLE stuffed animals attest to, Adults these days want some "CUTE" and FUN in their lives! These backpacks are totally what SQUISHABLE FANS would love to share lunch with everyday at work!

loved the kitty, had to get another for our youngest!
We bought this for our son for the future, but also to use as a diaper bag when we don't really want to lug around the big one. We also have the kitty backpack for our 2 year old. These bags are perfect for little toddlers.. We have books, crayons, coloring books, snacks, some small toys, extra undies, and pants all in one bag. To be honest we've had to take some stuff out just so our 2 year old can wear it like a backpack, it was too heavy for her. We had to get the giraffe for our four month old for our upcoming trip as a carry-on. They're super cute and perfect for little kids!Currently, our kitty backpack has 15 books, varying in sizes, 2 packs of "colors", 2 packs of gummies, and a stencil.

Great diaper bag
We love our giraffe backpack. We use it for our almost 9 month old as a diaper bag. It's just big enough for an outfit, bottle, several diapers, a pack of wipes, nursing cover, and a couple burp cloths. The front compartment is big enough for a couple bibs, a few small toys (baby keys, teething ring...), and baby medicine. I was worried about it being too small for all of our baby needs, but it is perfect! We recently ordered the raccoon and should have it in a couple of days. This bag is very well made and have had not issues with durability in the time that we have owned it; about one month.

Arrived damaged
Item arrived with a hole in the lining of the front pocket, as if it had been cut with a blade of some kind. I need the backpack for a specific event and don’t have time to exchange it, but it was pretty expensive for a child’s backpack to come with a hole in it.

Cute, functional for small ones.
The Skip Hop backpacks are incredibly cute, and have such a variety to choose from. They have one cup holder, which I would not do without, and one small pocket, besides for the main compartment. These are not school-sized backpacks. My toddlers each have one.I first use them for a diaper bag. Much better size for me than those ginormous whopper bags that can hold an entire box of diapers. They fit a few dipes, wipes, an outift, cup, changing pad, baby food. No problem for a baby day bag. When they start walking well, VOILA, you have the option to strap the diaper bag onto your child. I have heard people use something similar for twins, to help out. After that (or alternating with using it as a diaper bag), they work for an overnight bag, a little bag for THEM to pack with their special things for trips, and whatever.Con: Once these are dingy, there isn't much turning back. I have surface-washed my son's, which helped some. I wish I could machine wash it.
