My favorite flash drive design to date
Love the slightly longer design over the previous revision, which was sometimes hard to remove depending on the situation. This one's a bit easier to grab. Also, it seems to be a bit faster. Still not the fastest on the market, but an amazing value paired with a fantastic design. No caps to lose, no parts to break off, no flimsy plastic housing. Just be careful...on a handful of computers, it may get hot.I'm an IT professional who's been using flash drives for almost as long as they've been available, mostly SanDisk. I'd definitely recommend this type to anyone. It's tiny, it's durable beyond belief, it's reliable, it fits on your keys easily. Tip: if you're like me and occasionally leave your flash drive behind, put it on the same ring as your car keys. Forgot it? You're not going anywhere.

Impressive little device.
This was a great little product that came in a great little price. I love the simple design of the drive, it doesn't try to compete with your other USB devices which is to say it takes very little space. The drive also feels very sturdy and I love the key ring hole which is just great, you don't want to fear accidentally breaking your drive or losing it due to it detaching from your key ring, and with this that won't happen. The speed is also a plus, upgrading from a USB2.0 device after upgrading to USB3.0 on my PC and it just zooms compared to the old one. For 32Gigs, USB, 3.0 compatible at this price it's a steal. If you plan on backing up certain files from Windows though, you might want to do a quick format from FAT32 to NTFS out else risk losing some meta data.

Nice and light, but well built, fast transfer speeds, good playback, no complaints!
I can't say overly much about a flash drive, but I always try to honestly share my opinions. After all, reviews are how I base my decision when I'm the one doing the shopping, so here goes. They're light. They're fast. They work well in every device I've put them in (PC, Laptop, Blu-Ray Player, Xbox One, Smart TV, etc). I have no issues with them whatsoever. I bought three when I bought them and if I need more, I'll be buying more of this same brand. No reason to change when you've got something that works!

a job well done kingston...an excellent product and delivery
hello, we needed a small 8gb flash drive to hold old family digitized movies. the movies were digitized from reels, put on our home computer and they transferred quickly to these little flash drives. kingston makes quality stuff and these are very stylish and classy. plus, they do not take up much room and are easily protected with bubble wrap for mailing. if you have purchased the older versions of this 8 gb flash drive, these new ones have a better design with an indention on the surface...it is easier to grip and insert into usb ports. the recipients of the protected movies have mentioned everything arrived nicely and the flash drive instantly transferred the video contents to their home computers. a job well done kingston...an excellent product and delivery.

I love the sleek look and compactness of this usb
It's so tiny!I love the sleek look and compactness of this usb. It does everything I need it to do and works on all of my devices. Kensington is a great brand and I will buy more of these in the future. Blows my mind how the price just keeps going down on data storage. I remember when 2gb cost $10, now you can buy a 1 terabyte hard drive for under $80!I highly recommend you get the encryption program VeraCrypt and learn how to encrypt your files, drives, and usbs. It's free and pretty easy to learn. You can even store the program on the usb along with your encrypted files and open the volume using any OS.

Solid feeling/fast performing USB 3.0 thumb drive
After spending some time researching USB 3.0 flash drives looking for a unit that performed well (I'll admit it, I'm a numbers geek. Show me the specs!) I found this highly reviewed offering from Kingston. On paper it performs well and (happily) it performs just as well in the real world. While there are somewhat cheaper options out there, this one feels solid, is reasonably small (actually smaller than I expected, though not too small) and simply seems to get the job done well. I'd definitely buy another of these should I have a need. About my only (mild) concern is the lack of any cover over the USB connection end. I carry this with me daily so time will tell if I run into problems with things winding up inside the connector causing issues or not.

Very nice usb stick
This is a very nice metallic usb stick, it's surprising how small it is and how much data it can store (32 gb!). The best part is the hole in the actual device and it can easily hang on a keychain or loop, I have it on my keychain everyday (pic included) and it comes in really handy when you need to transfer some files from a public or someone's computer. Since the hole is built into the usb, it doesn't break or rip off like normal string attached to other usb sticks. I have lost or damaged by old usb sticks before and this has been the longest time I have had this one. Would recommend.

Really a garbage drive
I have a handful of the older SE9 USB 2.0 drives, and like those, this is a nice looking USB drive, but the older USB 2.0 is cheaper and infinitely better looking IMO. This is rather longish and nowhere near as nice as the older one.Surprise, surprise, the guts are worse than the older USB 2.0 version. The write speeds are atrocious. They could only possibly be acceptable if you plan to write stuff there one time. For example, it is OK for an operating system install drive, although the many small writes when you create it will take a LONG time. Any regular large files which plan to write or update are a no-go. This is better than the newest version of the USB 2.0 drive as Kingston has cheapened that out, too. It's hit or miss (mostly miss) if you get the early or cheap version of that.Better yet, just avoid this dog, and get the Samsung bar. It outperforms this in every measurable way and is only a few dollars more for double the capacity. And it looks better, too. Or stick with the older USB 2.0 SE9 if you don't care about performance as it's the best looking of the 3 IMO.P.S. A regular portable hard drive like a Seagate Slim will walk all over this drive so bad, it's not even funny. If you really care about speed and capacity, stick with one of those (or similar compact disk drives).

Matches Mac nicely - but suspect easily scratched
A well designed, slim and professional looking USB drive. Decided to get just the 8GB version as was meant for ad-hoc use. It is smaller than I expected it to be but thats a good thing. Would fit nicely on keyring but I suspect it would scratch up very easily as it has some small marks already (despite it never leaving the study). I think with prolonged use it would get quite battered (although useable) hence 1 star less than full marks. Overall though it looks very smart with my Macbook which is what i bought it for!

Decent occasional use usb stick
Great design and great speeds but the odd connection issue. The metal casing looks incredible and makes a nice addition on a keyring. The speeds are also great getting rough 120mb/s read and just shy of 45mb/s write. Odd qwerk that may just be my model, but every now and again it won't connect on the first attempt and it takes another go before it's listed as a device but for a usb that's used once every couple of days it works perfectly fine.

Cheap and solid, but slooooow!
I am really disappointed with the speed of this. It's got a lovely form factor and feels very well built, but it is excruciatingly slow. It bills itself as a USB 3.0 device, but when I put it into the USB 3 port on my Win 10 laptop Windows tells me that it will work faster if I plug it into a USB 3 port! Also, on my Mac Mini (running El Capitan) it only reports to be connected at 480Mbps when put into a USB 3 port (a WD portable HDD connects at 5Gbps in the same USB port), so I wonder whether the USB 3 hardware on these data sticks works properly.Disk benchmarking on both the Mac and PC show that Read Speeds are around the 35MB/s mark and Write Speeds are around 6MB/s. These are very disappointing indeed. Now, given the price (Add On Item at £3.78) this might be acceptable, but the claims of 100MB/s are unjustified and misleading. It might as well not have the blue bit of plastic inside the connector - it's more cosmetic and wishful thinking than indicative of its actual speed.

A very compact USB 3.0 drive designed to be used on a keyring.
We needed a reference metal cased USB pen drive for some tests at work next week. The excellent compact drive from Kingston seemed to fit the bill perfectly. It looks good and is indeed metal cased. Pretty tough because it is designed to be used on a key-ring. Like other key-ring drives it lacks a cover. These are available though if like me you plan to carry your keys in your pocket.... I have just ordered some of these dustproof plug - TOOGOO(R) 10 pcs Silicone USB port plug dustproof plug stopper protection cap black The pictures that include two drives also show the Sandisk USB drive I bought on the same Amazon order dustproof plug - TOOGOO(R) 10 pcs Silicone USB port plug dustproof plug stopper protection cap black
