Dropped trans temp.
Easy to install. All necessary parts are in the kit. Instructions easy to follow. Price was right. Dropped trans temp from 210 degree to 145 with an 8ft in bed camper on the truck. Would say that is a pretty good drop in temp.

Huge difference
This cooler dramatically decreased my trans temps in my 2010 Silverado w a 5.3 and 6L80 transmission when towing my 28ft camper. Temps dont go over 170 degs in the middle of summer 95deg days regardless on stop and go traffic or going 80 down the interstate. Would be the first upgrades I'd make when hauling a larger trailer.

This kit does not come with the thermal bypass like advertised. Unfortunately, I installed it after the return window so now I have to purchase the bypass separately. The hardware kit contains several hose fittings. Thankfully two fit into the cooler itself, but the others were assorted sizes and not in pairs.I do not recommend this product.

Very little modification needed to install and the cooler performs absolutely wonderful! Installed it on a 2007 Chevy Suburban 5.3L - prior to the installation the vehicle would run upwards of 200 plus degrees while pulling a 26ft travel trailer in warmer weather (85 degrees and up) and now pulling an even larger travel trailer (Whitehawk 30dsqb) in warmer weather it doesn't pass 185 degrees! Awesome product and well built! I did spray paint it black so it would blend in better with the front end through the grill... Other little trick was determining the direction of fluid flow to even hook the unit up. In summary, I highly recommend this product.

Lovin it in Texas
If your in need of a trans cooler, this is the one works great, like no other. Pulling a travel trailer trans temp was always on the riseDuring 100deg summer in Texas my trans runs pulling trailer 160deg or below

Best transmission cooler upgrade you can do besides a trans ...
Best transmission cooler upgrade you can do besides a trans temp gauge. Went on my 03 silverado I have a 2800 stall in it and b4 I got this pulling my 30 ft camper I seen a high temp of 240 which can toast a tranny quick at that temp.and now pulling it it will NOT go above 175 on a 95f day. I didn't use the thermostat thing as cooler already has a valve in it to let cold fluid pass thru. Gonna need at least 2 qts of atf to compensate for the bigger cooler got more fluid goin thru so if it feels sluggish check n add fluid

great cooler for transmission
This is one of the better tranny coolers you can buy. I installed it on my Chevy Express 3500 that didn't come with a aux. transmission cooler besides the one built in to the radiator. I like that they include the thermal bypass since I live in a cold northern state. It allows the transmission to warm up faster on those freezing days than if you just ran directly to the cooler. I ran the new cooler in line with my radiator cooler. I checked my transmission temps on a hot day when I was pulling my boat, and the temp never got over about 170°.I deducted one star since the hose is probably too short for most larger vehicles and I needed to buy another piece to install it.
