Terrific value
Generally when it comes to power supplies I hate to give a review until I've owned it for a set period of time, unless of course it fails outright. You never know how long some PSU's might last – it might be glorious on day one and explode a week later. Its difficult, at least for me, to properly judge the reliability of a product such as this until sufficient time has passed. However as this product has relatively few reviews and because it left such a great first-impression on me I felt like it was worth writing something.I needed a replacement PSU after I had clumsily busted my last one on a botched fan-replacement. It was worth the risk since the one it had was as loud as a jet and was driving me crazy. I was stunned to come across this power supply by Sentey. Their offering looked very, very enticing. Still, I was actually a bit hesitant to give them a chance. The PSU is generally something you don't want to 'cheap out' on because if it goes bad it can potentially ruin your entire system.Sentey, I have to admit, are not actually a brand I recognized right off the bat. Especially as far as PSU's are concerned. Either they are relatively new to this area or I'm just grossly out of touch. Both are possible. However the product looked great, had shining reviews and was offered at such a fantastic price that I had to take the risk. Plus this thing comes with a 3 year warranty so that does add reassurance towards their confidence of reliability. When the package arrived I was actually struck by how high-quality the actual packaging case was. They show it in the images but you have to see it for yourself to really appreciate the level of detail they put into it. It sounds silly, I admit, to be gushing over packaging. Especially when most people just throw the box away immediately afterwards. However it is because of that for which I find the case so surprising. Here is something most people will bin yet they clearly put a lot of effort into making it look terrific.Again I know these are just cosmetics but really I don't have much else to review at this point until I've had this thing for a while. Still, even if it is just the box, the fact that it looks as good as it does did instill more confidence for the actual product inside. Maybe its just a placebo but theres something reassuring to me about seeing so much care and attention being put into something as trivial and generally overlooked as the packaging. The case I installed this PSU in is a mid-tower ATX case with a bottom-mount configuration. My case allows you to place the PSU in either position in regards to rather you want it sucking air through the case or through the bottom vents. If you have the fan pointing up you get more leeway with the cables that enable better cable management. With this is mind I was bit worried that the 24pin cable would be a bit too short to properly hide away, as was the case with the PSU I took out of it, because I like to have the fan placed downward which removes some of the available cable length you get to work with.I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had enough room to run the cable through the back of the case. If you're using a Full-ATX case you may not have enough length to pull this off with the PSU mounted fan-down. The 8pin connector however wasn't quite long enough to reach this way. If I had mounted the PSU in the reverse direction I think it would had been okay but since I didn't want to do that I was left with the option of either attaching an extension or opting out of the cable management.Luckily I had an extension already because this is a problem my last PSU had aswell.Infact, the one I replaced wouldn't reach it even without managing it through the back (extension was required for it no matter what from this position). I'm pleased to say that this one would had reached it just fine if I didn't mind having it running across the graphics card. This is a picky thing and won't affect the performance of anyone's build. I just prefer having all the cables running through the back, nice and neatly tucked away. Its a personal preference and not worth saying anything negative about the PSU over but I felt it was worth mentioning to those few who love cable management. Just remember this is from the perspective of a downward mounted PSU which takes away from the available length of the cables. The cables themselves are all sleeved (as seen in the photos) of course which also helps with keeping things looking nice and tidy. Another thing I must comment on with the cables is the method they use to 'clip' the 8pin and 24pin together. Its difficult for me to explain but these pins can be either 8 and 24 or 4 and 20. This isn't unusual as it adds backwards compatibility support for motherboard's that don't need the extra 4 pins on either cable. Infact most PSU's I've seen, even older ones, generally have this feature. The difference, at least for me, was how much better the pins fit together. I actually thought the 8pin and 24pin weren't adaptable to fit 4/20 but it was just because the way they seal together makes them so firm that it seems like it was built that way. I'm probably doing a bad job of explaining this but its a positive thing in my book. It's very minor, of course, since afterall like I said most PSU's I've seen have this ability. The difference is that the PSU's I've used in the past don't really fit these pins together as well as these. This means when I try to plug the 24pin or 8pin into the motherboard I have to 'squeeze' or hold them together to make sure they go in together. Not a huge deal but the nice snug fit these provide add that very minor convenience that you probably won't really notice or think about. If the 4pin is attached (either to make a 8pin or 24pin) it fits very firmly and practically becomes one whole full plug instead of just kind 'hugging' onto it like I usually see with PSUs.That's all I can really think to say about the cables. They felt study, plugged up firmly and look very reliable. I didn't have any 'weak pins' in the molex cables or anything. Again I'm sorry if I'm doing a poor job of describing just what I'm talking about but if you've messed with PSU cables before you might, hopefully, understand what I'm talking about.Another small minor attention to detail is that the little tiger head decal sticker on the top fan actually has a little plastic covering to protect it from getting scratched. Again this is really superficial but I noticed it and appreciate it no matter how insignificant it may be. The sticker they place over plug jack in the back is another nice touch. Chances are this won't matter to most people since they likely come pre-set to the correct setting for most people but it is still nice to have that little reminder just help ensure you don't blow anything up.I also appreciate having the power switch in the back. Another minor thing but coming from a PSU that lacked this minor little feature makes me appreciate the convenience of having it for whenever, if ever, I need it. As the pictures indicate one side has an embossed head of a tiger which is pretty cool, they could had a easily (more so, actually) just kept that a blank slab of metal with no detail so its nice to see they put so much care in these trivial details that most might overlook. If you have the fan facing downwards, however, you won't see the tiger (I'm a bit sad about that too because I do rather like it even though I practically never see the PSU) and instead the side you'll be seeing is the side with the clean and dark sticker displaying the wattage. I appreciate that this sticker is dark and 'graphical' instead of plain white with 'boring' text. That wouldn't had looked as nice on the otherwise beautiful PSU. Though like many things I've gone over this is a cosmetic thing that most people probably wouldn't care about, which makes me appreciate it all the more. Also note that the pictures can be a bit confusing on that sticker. In the preview pictures you see the PSU from different angles but they always have the label being 'right side' up so you can read it. Fortunately in person the sticker is placed in such a way that if the PSU is placed in a position where you actually see it (thus hiding the tiger on the otherside) the label will read correctly. This is yet another nice attention to detail and as someone who mounts the fan facing down I appreciate that the sticker isn't upside down, no matter how trivial that seems. It adds convenience and looks better.I was so impressed with the quality of everything else that I even made a point of using the provided power cord instead of just reusing the perfectly fine one I had already plugged to the wall that was powering the last PSU. It really doesn't matter but I figured hey, they put so much care into this I might as well use everything it comes with. You never know, maybe that cord is lined with fairy dust to make it extra powerful. The only little detail I could come across where they don't continue this trend of attention-to-detail is the case screws you use to mount the PSU. They're fine screws, don't get me wrong. They're phillips head and seem study enough not to strip on you anytime soon, unlike the flathead screws that came with the PSU I was replacing. They stood out to me however because they're plain and ordinary (nevertheless sturdy but still). They're not black. I wouldn't had even noticed this if not for the fact that practically EVERYTHING else about this PSU is black. Even the inside of the box it comes with was black with no brown cardboard. It stood out to me as odd that they put so much attention to detail with everything else but didn't provide black screws. This is by no means, at all, a negative point. Who is really going to complain about the color of screws? If I really cared to have them black I could go over them with a sharpie marker. The only reason I even noticed it was because it stood out from everything else. However, maybe this is better. Not everyone uses a black case like me so perhaps having no color coating will make them easier to 'mod' with color markers for those who really care about these things.Far as I can tell the only thing Sentey actually need to work on is their product page here on Amazon. I don't know how it looks when you're reading this but at the time of writing this its a mess. It's like the product description of three different items have somehow been merged together into one big convoluted mess. It's a formatting disaster. Plus what a title! Still these are minor things that will probably be refined later (if it isn't just me, that is) and is in no way a strike against the actual product. The product is solid.A lot of these little details I've went over aren't critical or important by any means. Infact for most of it, mainly the cosmetic bits, had Sentey not done it I wouldn't had thought any of less of them. These are all nice things that I appreciate they've thought about but that doesn't mean I would had rated this lower had they met those standards. Still, while not having all those little details would not had taken away from the value of the product I can't help but feel that together they do add something. Sometimes its the subtle things that make you appreciate the quality of a product.I'm currently running four harddrives, one dvd drive, four case fans, a graphics card and a mildly overclocked cpu. I had to use an molex-sata adapter to get power to one of the drive bays but I was fully aware of this already. It runs just fine. No smoke and fires or demonic sounds whatsoever. Which brings me to perhaps my most satisfying point: its quiet.I by no means require a silent PC, nor is it perfectly quiet. My PC purrs with those fans like you might expect. Yet there is something about a loud, rattling PSU fan that just drives me bonkers. I am so happy with this PSU – it is so much quieter then my last one.I don't know just how silent it is, I'm afraid. I can't hear it over the light purr of my fans. If I turned them all off I could judge the power supply noise off it alone but for my purposes I don't hear it over them and thats all that matters for me. I don't need silence but I also don't need my PSU adding to the noise. My old PSU was the the loudest part of my entire setup, especially during gaming. I'm satisfied so far.I'm sorry that most of this 'review' is me talking about such minor little details but really I don't know what else to comment on at this point. It's a PSU. It powers my PC. It's quiet. I cannot predict how long it will last and I haven't the tools to properly 'test' the wattage output or anything like that. I can say that I am so far very satisfied with my purchase and am glad I took the plunge and tried out a brand I wasn't particularly knowledgeable of.Plus with that 3 year warranty I cannot help but feel more secure that this thing isn't going to blow up. How would they get away with a 3 year warranty if these things weren't reliably built? If they're that confident in their product that they're willing to back it up with a warranty then I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. If they didn't have that warranty I would perhaps be a bit more leery and skeptical but like I said, they have to be pretty confident that their stuff is built to last if they're offering a deal like that.I will update this review at a later date to confirm its continued performance or to inform you of any issues that may come up. Trust me, if these things were starting fires Im sure the buyers wouldn't waste any time running to the reviews to warn you away. I certainly will if I start seeing smoke. My advice? If you're in the market for a PSU, don't overlook Sentey just because they're not as 'big' as some of the other names in the PSU field. It may not be 80+ but its 78% efficient which is damn close to 80. Even if you're not yet in the market for one you might want to consider getting one for future use. I say that because at this price its a fantastic bargain which makes me think that it won't stay this price for long. It could be that they're so much cheaper to help give them an edge on the more well-known companies. If these PSU's live up to the expectations so many reviews are putting on them (look at all those stars!) then they are going to start getting more and more popular. Which is great for Sentey, they deserve it if the PSU is as good as it looks (test of time will tell). However it may mean the price may go up a bit in the future so it might be good to grab them while they're at such a reasonable price. I mean seriously, some of these are like half the price of a comparable competitor brand at the time of this review. That's some pretty decent savings!Hopefully this long ranting review will be useful to at least one person out there.

Good bargain PSU with both Pro's and Con's
The PSU works well, and is set to a very good price which makes it a great bargain for budget builders or people replacing older or burnt out PSU's in existing builds.Pros:- Plenty of peripheral power connectors- Large Fan for cooling the unit- Outer packaging is nice- 625w PSU for under $40 is pretty niceCons:- ATX 12V is not a 4+4, it is a full 8 pin connector. This will cause a problem with older Mobo's that do not use the full 8 pin 12V power connector. Luckly, I was using an extension due to my large case and the thin wall of the extensions connector allowed using only 4 pins. However, if I was going directly to the Mobo, this would NOT work.- No 6+2 pin PCIe connector, only two 6 pin PCIe connectors (2). This is fine for most SLI/Crossfire builds but more powerful cards require an 8 pin, making this a problem for Small Form Factor builds with only one very power GPU.- Construction is a little weak. While the box is nice, it's extremely light which makes me wonder about the quality of all components in the build. Another construction note is how "flimsy" the power cord socket is...plugging the power cord in actually had me a little worried.

Sentey provides great customer service
Needed to replace a desktop power supply- checked for correct wattage and connections, installed it and it CAUGHT ON FIRE! I do not even know if i have a working computer left...I need to ammend this for the simple fact that I received a clearly defecctive power supply that the manufacturer probably had no real control over. Sentey's customer service department is outstanding when it comes to to rectifying an issue. They worked with me to address what happened to my computer and we reached a satisfactory agreement to correct the situation.I had to give them four stars for service alone; there are good reviews and bad reviews for them and although I had a bad experience, that service makes up for it because everything they sell is not going to work the way the PSU I puchased did.

It works but be careful to plug in video and CPU correctly.
My AMD processor requires a 4 pin connector and this power supply has an 8 pin connector. You can use the 8 pin connector and 4 pins will over hang unused. Do not plug either of the video board plugs into Processor connector because is wired opposite of the video connector and it will damage the processor. Other than figuring out where things on my motherboard a55bm-a usb3 plugged in this power supply works great and is inexpensive. I would buy it again.

Good budget PSU
Seemed slightly cheesy due to its light weight, but this PSU seems to do the job in the machine that I'm building for a friend's kid. Runs quiet and worked fine with all connections, including an older PCIE 2.0 x16 video card. My one issue is that the instructions could be more clear. I've built dozens of machines and had no problems, but a new builder would likely be confused by the terseness of the instruction booklet. Nothing a quick web search couldn't clear up though...

Piece of plastic leftover from assembly?
The product I received appears to be defective. When plugged in, this unit makes an irritable buzzing noise and causes my PC to randomly shut down. I am not sure what is causing this, but upon further inspection I have noticed that there is a piece of plastic between the fan and the heat sink. I am not sure if this is what is causing the problem as I can't open the unit to remove the plastic. It is likely just something that was accidentally left in the casing during assembly. If it weren't for this issues, I would have enjoyed the product. It looks good and had all the cords that I need for an affordable price. However, I will be returning the product and likely purchase my next PSU elsewhere.

Decent power supply
This does the job. Only had it installed for one week but I guess time will tell how long this supply last. I usually get Consair so this is the first time for this brand. I took one star away because my motherboard needed a pin connector and this power supply did not have it. I had to get an adapter for it to get it running.
