How do you light the interior of this unit?

Thank you for your interest in Swisher ESP. Many customers buy battery operated LED lights with motion sensors that turn on as soon as you enter the shelter. The benefit is that these will not go out if you loose power during a storm. If you must run electricity into the shelter, all work must be done per local code by a professional electrician who is licensed to work in your jurisdiction. Does this require a shopping dock for delivery?

This can be delivered to your home with out a shipping dock.

Do you sell with bottom plate/foundation?

We do not include a foundation for our shelters. The Swisher ESP Safety Shelter is an above ground, bolt together, steel structure that must be anchored to an adequate concrete slab as defined in the Manual. All ESP Safe Rooms have undergone and passed testing at the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech University. This testing is just a part of receiving verification from the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) that all Models meet or exceed the ICC-500 (International Code Council) requirements and FEMA P-320/FEMA P-361 Guidelines for Residential Shelters to withstand the 250 mph winds and debris generated by an EF-5 Tornado. Additionally, the NSSA requires all shelter manufactured and/or installed by its Producer Members to undergo a rigorous two step Engineering Design/Certification Process. This process includes an initial design phase which is followed by a Third Party Peer Review performed by an independent Structural/Wind Engineering firm. Would this shelter work in the case of a nuclear explosion?

Great solid product!

Customer service was amazing regarding a few basic questions I had. The safe room is better then I expected and works amazing. The entire install was literally just bolting everything together.
