This item is the bees knees, I wish I got them sooner (purchased 2), once I received these I unpacked and assembled right away and set up one in the living room, and one in the hall/bedroom, very sceptical at first because I, forever have tried every trick known to us to try and get this bungalow in order and rid the stale (and I mean stale) nasty horrid smell of cigarette smoke and other smells, with in whole bungalow, and my goodness I was astonished, by how well theses worked, hand on heart (yes I am putting my hand on heart) no word of I lie, they did not disappoint whatsoever and really, honestly did work as they should and really good. My partner still has cigarettes within the home, do smell them, but I can say once she has finished, soon smells nice and fresh again.Noticed within 2 hours of them being on, the stake smoke and smells, dismissed, gone and no more, and I can honestly say this with all my integrity "NO MORE BAD SMELLS" it worked wonders for the home, I, my partner and dog can now breath fresh air, and the bungalow smells wonderful, my partner has many plug-in's around her home, (when in use they did not disguise the smell of stale cigarettes smoke) now as soon as you enter the front door, I/We/All can now just smell freshness, and I am saying this with total truth, no longer can smell stale cigarette smoke and other smells, now all we have is fragrance freshness from the plug-in's all around the home and it great. Even when friends/neighbours/family visits they all make nice comments, on how nice and home, smells, all in all I would recommend this product to everyone who has the same issue's. Amazing product. Not sure what other people’s problems are but I’ve had no issues with this air purifier.Originally bought because my dog had been diagnosed with atrophy dermatitis (house mite allergy) but after just 3 nights discovered I too have a dust allergy. I sleep so much better with this going and it is not loud at all if you actually put it on sleep mode!Added bonus is that it actually cools the room temp by 2.6c which will be welcome in the summer.My only negative about it is the filters are near impossible to source and when you do find some, they sell out really fast

I’m not going to write a bad review on this product, more an advisory. I bought this product as using a normal fan was making me wake up stuffy in the morning, so wanted purified cooling at night - it delivers only on the purifying bit.The fan is sleek, modern and is very quiet. It’s an ideal size for moving room to room, but too big to take out with you.One of the selling points is that’s it’s quiet. Mostly I would agree with that but I can hearing it whirring away in a silent room at night, certainly less than your usual bladed fan though, it’s easy to become white noise after a while.This is where I offer some usage advice. I wasn’t impressed with the amount of air it moved. I wanted a fan where I can feel the breeze cooling me, but this fan won’t give you that. It’s a very gentle breeze even on the highest setting. It’s not enough to cool you down if you’re hot. It will make a room feel cooler slightly but if you’re like me and want air moving over you, this isn’t the fan for you.This fan also needs to be plugged in to work, so it’s not portable unless where you’re going has access to a socket.Overall it’s a purifier, not a fan. It purifies well and I’ve woken up with much less a stuffy nose since using it, but I have had to buy another fan to push the purified air at a speed that I can feel.

Like all small fan based air purifiers/fans this suffers from fan noise.The mistake they all make is using [cheap] small fans which run too quickly - the noise is inevitable.Some of this noise pollution could be lessened if they used much larger fans at slower speeds, naturally it would influence the design but I for one would accept that over the noise this [and most, if not all others] makes.A 140mm variable speed fan can be virtually silent and *still* push quite a lot of air.I have 6 in my PC tower which is right next to me and this fan [which is on the other side of the room] is still noiser than the whole computer !To this item, it`s quite mall and doesn`t take up a lot of room.It does move some air over time, I would have used it for dispersing E-Cig vapour which can collect in banks at mid room level when windows are closed in winter.But the noise makes it unbearable - it`s not overly noisy as in 'volume' but the harmonics and general whine are quite apparent and distracting.One night was enough and I turned it off before the night was even over.Edit:I have since gutted it and replaced the fan with a high quality one PLUS a USB fan speed controller.It is now *much* quieter and I cannot hear it from across the room.It does circulate air albeit quite slowly but I don`t think this is a good solution for someone trying to mitigate indoor air pollution.Still, it`s not exactly an ideal solution and I don`t think it will stay in this room and will likely end up in the trash.The swing motion was actually silent in operation but was only about 45 degrees so not sure if it was really necessary but certainly didn`t harm.

The second of 2 air purifiers in the house and for a little more you can get a better one. Its OK but not sure it's actually taking in anything.
