I read a ton of reviews and felt good about buying this and wasn't disappointed. Box was damaged in shipping but it was packed well with an inner box so everything was safe. Is it the same as an $800 all wood dresser? No but that's not what I expected or paid for. Better than the cheaper prepac stuff I've seen in the stores and passed on.Directions were straightforward. Took 1.5-2 hrs with my 3 and 5 year old "helping". Only issue I had was that the two "J" letter screws that go in the center for support were a bit long and I overdid it causing the tips to poke through the sides. A little paint fixed it up so you can't really tell and it is for a kid so not a big deal. Everything seems quite sturdy and solid, drawers are good for clothes but don't fill with heavy books or anything like that. I liked that the drawer bottoms have support bars running from front to back and that everything looks clean inside and out (faux wood finish inside so it looks fresh rather than nice on the outside and yucky on the inside).I'm going to cover this in lego-themed vinyl decals and contact paper to make it fun and flexible as in changeable for when he gets older. Doing the same to a similar one for my daughter in Ariel when it arrives later in the week. I'm impressed and feel it is a good value for the price and expect it to last a good many years and experience a variety of decorations in its lifetime!

update 6/28/16- Dresser is still holding up just fine. My only complaint is that one of the knobs keeps coming off and I have to screw it back on. I could probably add some glue to it when I replace it, but keep forgetting to pick some up!Original Review:This was purchased to update my daughters room and I am quite happy with how it turned out.In a nutshell~1. Assembly wasn't too bad. I enlisted the help of a friend, as I am not great at putting furniture together, and he had it done in about 2 hours. It took about as long as I had expected, but he wasn't frustrated at all.2. With the exception of the drawer bottoms, the material looks and feels very durable. I put some wood glue in the places where the drawer bottoms slide in just to give it some extra stability.3. It looks nice. Other reviewers received damaged items and I can say that I did not. Not so much as a scuff mark.I did find this exact same item at the exact same price through another online, big name retailer. They had an additional handling fee of $30 and a shipping charge. There was no handling fee and shipping was free with Prime. Just FYI if you are shopping around.Overall this turned into a great addition for my girl's room and I am happy I got it.* This is an initial review. Will update on durability as appropriate.

Beautiful dresser! I must be honest, I bought this for my own room (I’m 27) and it is amazing! While it is definitely marketed towards a child’s bedroom, it is a superb dresser for an adult as well as it is large and sturdy. It even has real wood support pieces! Wonderful instructions were clear and concise with all parts included. Note: parts 12 and 13 were shrink wrapped together which made for some confusion. Highly highly recommend this dresser!

OVERALL: For this price, we were extremely pleased with this dresser. If you shop around, most dressers that look this nice and are this sturdy (as mentioned in the reviews, this is a VERY sturdy dresser), cost far more. We picked this dresser, because we have a small nursery, and needed a lot of storage space but didn't want to take up too much space horizontally (and this dresser is nice and tall). We didn't notice any odor with this dresser (purchased white dresser). Also, one thing that was awesome, is that it came with a wall mount which is very important if using this dresser for a child so that this would never topple over a child if a child were to pull it forward. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE THE WALL MOUNT, BECAUSE THIS DRESSER IS NARROW ENOUGH FRONT TO BACK THAT THIS COULD BE A TIPPING HAZARD DESPITE ITS STURDINESS.ASSEMBLY: This comes in a very large (and very heavy) box. We wanted this dresser to be for an upstairs nursery, but the box was so heavy that we ended up taking the pieces we wanted up separately to build it instead of the whole box. We found assembly fairly easy with very thorough directions. The large pieces were labeled well. Some useful tools to have on hand for this include a small battery powered screwdriver and a drill/stud finder for the wall mount (as mentioned earlier, it does come with a wall mount). The only challenge was that the numerous bolts/screws of different types are in different bags, but the bags don't have labels on them. It would be helpful if those bags were labeled. We did encounter one issue in the building process. One of the small pieces of the wood split when inserting the screw as instructed which was a bit inconvenient, and this is why we removed one star [SEE 1st PICTURE]. We considered going out to Home Depot to purchase a small wood block to replace it as it wouldn't have been too expensive, but we ended up using an L bracket to mount against the split wood to reinforce it [SEE 2nd PICTURE. Either way should work if you run into this issue. It wasn't a big enough deal to us to return it; it was just a small wood block component inside the drawer.DRAWERS: You've got a lot of space inside these drawers! In the first drawer, we used organizer boxes for tiny baby socks, hats, and bows. [SEE 3rd PICTURE] The rails on the drawer prevent the drawer from a child pulling the drawer out on themselves. Drawers close easily and quietly.
