Well worth the money!
SEE UPDATE AT END OF THIS REVIEW. AS OF 1/19/2022 THE CAMERA IS DEAD.I am rating this dashcam 5 stars. While there are a few very minor drawbacks, I feel that the product you are getting according to the price is quite a value. I installed the 2 channel dashcam with GPS into a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek. Install was easier than I expected but I have plenty of experience with automotive aftermarket device installs and I am a wire tucker. I cannot handle wires draped around a vehicle and creating an eyesore. I would say that if you are comfortable with changing your own spark plugs, you will find installing this dashcam equally as challenging. The Blacksys CF-100 comes with more than enough wire to install into a full-size SUV. The quality of the wiring and the unit itself is very impressive according to the price. I had no problems taping off the end of the rear camera's USB cable end (to protect the pins while feeding it through the headliner and trim), and running the cable all the way from the front camera to the rear. I was able to feed the mini-USB cable through the stock rubber wiring boot between the body and the hatch for an OEM look (spray cable with fabreeze and slide it though). I quickly noticed after install that I would need to electrical-tape the lens housing on the front camera and all of the LED'S. The chome ring brings too much attention to the camera through the windshield and I wanted a stealth look. You can shut off the bright white LED in the front of the camera that faces out of the windshield in the player settings on your PC. I opted to electrical tape this LED to completely disable it as I do not want it to ever light up. The GPS and REC lights are a little bright like many have said, but I just simply stuck two small cut strips of electrical tape over those as well and left a small amount exposed so you can still see if the light is on or off. As you can see from my pictures, the rear camera is nearly invisible, and the front camera almost blends in with the rear-view mirror. The GPS and power wires were able to be ran up the mirror wiring tube so only 1 wire from the front camera is visible. GPS module was tucked into the headliner out of sight and still gets a perfect signal each time. The only downside to my chosen front camera location on my vehicle is that the camera blocks the light sensor for my auto-dimming mirror. I disabled my auto-dimming mirror with a small piece of.. you guessed it; electrical tape. Since my back window is tinted this is not a major issue for me, and as bad as all the small pieces of electrical tape sound, they are not noticeable at all. This unit has high intelligence and the sensitivity is spot on for incident isolation recording. I paired this with a Black Magic Pro to enhance parking mode and to keep any type of possibility of battery drainage if parked for a few days. So far everything works great and the video playback quality is very impressive. The rear camera is nearly useless at night but will definitely show headlights of anyone and some small outlines behind you. CAMMSYS' website links to the video software and allowed the player to download, but it would not install. I had to find the software posted elsewhere on the web to get a version that would work. Overall it's a quality product for the price you pay, and one of the best and cheapest 2 channel dash cams that sport a Sony sensor.UPDATE: It's been just over a year and a half since I purchased and installed this dashcam. I still love it, and it still works great. I've had it restart a handful of times at random, but an SD Card format every month or so prevents it from happening. I think the SD Card gets full and causes this. Still 100% satisfied for the money I paid!UPDATE: Still going strong! Have found that freezing weather under 10 degrees F or less seems to trigger the random SD Card issues from time to time that require the quick format. Otherwise, working well!4/3/2019 UPDATE:I bought this Jan 4th 2016.. it's still going strong & I haven't had any random reboots (no matter what the weather) in probably a year now.1/10/2020 UPDATE:I have transitioned this into a new pickup truck and it is fully functional. As other users have stated the ball ring that you tighten to hold the front camera in place has started to loosen on its own, making the camera point upward. A fix for this was to cut the pinky end of a nitrile medical glove and place it over the ball and reassemble. It grips well and never will move. Have caught a near car vs semi head on collision on this last year that the evidence proved the truck driver was not at fault. Still very happy for the price I paid!UPDATE: 1/19/2022, the camera is finally dead. It stopped powering up randomly the last few weeks. Now it does nothing at all. Aside from that the lock ring was cracked in multiple places from UV rays turning it brittle. I had to stick a cut-off pinky finger piece of neoprene glove over the little ball in order for it to stay put as I couldn't tighten the lock ring.Only dropping it by 1 star as I got 7 years of successful use out of this camera with little issues. I think that's pretty amazing for the price paid. I doubt it's manufactured anymore but I found a similar replacement for around the same price that has better resolution and better battery technology and wifi that works amazing.

Pretty good but the viewing software could use some work
It's a nice unit and the video quality is everything I expected--good. Installation was a cinch and it worked right out of the box. The rear camera is a sweet bonus. The software is a hassle though. The video playback works fine for both front and rear cameras. The biggest problem is that the GPS function is broken (see attached image in the lower righthand corner). The software has built-in screenshot functionality, which is nice, but it doesn't allow for exporting clips. Also, the camera only keeps an hour of "normal" playback in a loop. It has extra storage for "events", etc. It would be really nice to have the option to extend the recording loop time. Maybe it automatically increases with the size of the SD card (I'm using the included 16GB one). If I have the chance to try it and the loop time gets larger, I'll update this review.Update: the front camera mount has loosened over time so the lens eventually points skyward. No matter how tight I tighten it, it always gets loose again.Update 2: The device has overheated to the point where it is no longer functional. This turned out to be a pretty crappy unit. I will stay away from Blacksys products from now on.

Best Budget Dual Cam Setup
Excellent dual camera setup for the budget minded user. This is my first dashcam purchase, and I was really torn between staying with a budget cam or going all out and getting a model from BlackVue. I ended up going the budget route, and have very few complaints. Yes, it would be nice to have some of the features found on higher end camera's, such as wireless viewing with mobile devices and/or a screen.Things I like about this unit:- Extremely inexpensive for a dual camera setup- Has GPS (this may bother some, *those who speed, ahem*. But I prefer it)- Comes with everything one should need to mount and get recording immediately- Great video quality at the front, and decent enough at the rearProblems I ran into:- The cord running back to the rear camera is long, but not quite long enough to route through my A4 like I wanted it. Luckily, it's Mini USB, so I just ordered a 6 foot extension here on Amazon. Works like a charm.- Shock sensor can be pretty sensitive. Our roads aren't in the greatest condition, and they're always setting off the Event recording.- Rear camera sticky tape didn't hold up in heat. Fell off a couple times now, and I'm just going to use rear view mirror adhesive one of these days. That'll show it.Honestly, I love having this. I was almost in an accident a few weekends ago, where I just ever so gracefully dodged some jerk that ran a stop sign in front of me as I was doing 60 mph (highway with cross traffic). I didn't even have to push the emergency button, something set it off, even though there was no impact. Must have been the quick shift to the right or possibly my girlfriend screaming at the window. All I know is, I got a good solid recording and saved it for lulz.I'm sure my next one will be a BlackVue, but this is a wonderful unit for starting out.

Good Camera - No Support - Buggy Software
*****Update 11/29/15: I never did receive a response from support but I was able to edit the config file on a WIndows 8 PC without issue. I'm now very satisfied with the camera. I only wish the rear camera cable was a little longer.**********Update 10/11/15: 13 Days and still no response from support. I can't edit the config file. I suspect it's because the software is not fully compatible with Windows 10 but I don't have another Windows PC in the house.*****Pros:Easy to install.Well Packed.Small in size and sturdy.LightweightCons:Forced to use supplier adapter instead of using USBNo ScreenI can't edit config file and no answers from support. Software seems buggy.Lack of support. Sent email 2 days okay and no response.GPS sometimes takes awhile to connect.Only record 1 minute increments.
