Q: Will this work to convert rain bird 1800 heads to drip?

This is pretty easy to do. Go to your local Home Depot and look for threaded extensions. They are 1/2 inch which will fit both the 1800 head and the Orbit 4 port head. They come in various lengths and buy one that raised the manifold a few inches above the soil or whatever works for you. I use thread PTFE tape to make a good seal. You may want to flush the system before installing the manifolds just in case you get dirt in the lines.

Q: What is the maximum pressure this is rated for?

There is no minimum pressure for this device. This is a straight through flow device and there is no flow orifices or active restricters

Q: Submersible pump GPH needed to push water through this?

I have it connected to a shallow well that I jetted down to first water. About 12 feet below the surface of the ground. Pressure goes up and down depending on how rainy it has been. But it has gone as low as 25 pounds of pressure and it still works. I have two of these feeding drip heads and six hunter heads on one zone.

Q: If I have hunter irrigation can I use this to replace one of the heads

Yes you can use the riser that the hunter head is screwed onto and convert it to a drip system. You might need an adapter that are sold in home stores.
