Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love this so far. It is large enough for lots of cargo, zips securely, and has kept everything from getting wet. Only concern is one strap is starting to fray. Should be okay.

This car topper worked great on a coast to coast family trip. There are no directions in the package but it was fairly easy to figure out. The window attachments are a little clumsy but secure. I did get a very small amount of water inside the topper but this was my fault. The stitch points can be easily torn if you overtighten. As I was cinching the first strap I pulled down very hard on the strap and heard a little tear. It was about a 3/8" hole that greeted me when I climbed up to look. This was not a problem until we hit monsoon style rain and high wind in OK, AR and TN. I "patched" it with duct tape and had no more issues. Not able to give a 5 star rating due to all the little issues mentioned above but it is a good value for a decent product.

I had to go on vacation and the vehicle I rented was not large enough for my luggage as well as the passengers so I remembered that I bought this a few years ago and I was so happy to use it and it worked great

I had my doubts, read some bad reviews, but this worked perfectly for us. Sometimes I think folks get different variants of a single listing here on Amazon, like the supplier sent what they had or could get a hold of, hence bad reviews. We had a pleasant experience, even to where I saif I was proud of the bad. It was massive! We would not have been able to carry what we had without it. We packed four large bags of beach toys, and shoulder bags, pillows, so much... I failed to get a picture, but it was tons! It held up like a beast! We got up to 80. No rips or tears, we tied the straps up where they did not flap against suv, and loaded it with zipper side facing the back for added rain proofing, but didn't have rain. I would say, if you have cross bars to remove them so it can lay flat. There is a zipper liner, that is just the right size to get caught up in zipper, just watch out for that. I know my trip was shorter than some of the longer road trips in the reviews, but I'll be able to use this plenty in trips to come, freeing up space in my 4runner.

We took this bag on a trip from SoCal to NorCal about 18 hours round trip. It tore on the way back. I reached out to the company and they said they couldn't help because I purchased thru Amazon? I reached out to Amazon and they told me to reach out to the company. Nobody wants to resolve the problem. Very disappointed in the customer service and cannot recommend. Horrible customer service even after photos were provided. Do not purchase as if anything goes wrong the company will not assist.

Used this on my roof rack of my subaru forester. Probably won't use it again, except for short distances with groceries, because it just killed my gas mileage. It went from my usual 31 highwey to 19 with it on and 28 with just the roof rack.Of course that isn't the products fault. Product wise, it is pretty heavy duty. The main noise I heard when this was in use was if I didn't secure the straps completely and it was whipping in the wind/on the suv. The zippers are heavy duty and open/close easily. Also have a fairly large ear loop so that you can lock it if need be. The straps are long enough to strap to a rack or on top of the car. They have plenty of straps for the tie down. Almost too many if you need to access the bag often.Storage wise I was able to stow 2 folding chairs, a tents, sleeping bag, blanket, and still had plenty of room for another set.
