NES Assessment of Professional Knowledge Elementary Study Guide: NES Test Prep and Practice Test Questions for the NES 051 Exam

Though the text was well written, almost none of the information covered in it was on the test. I'd suggest paying for one elsewhere - perhaps the NEStest site.For example, I spent a week studying the theorists in the book and none were mentioned at all on the test. Also, though I am glad they had access to multiple different practice tests, again, none of this information was in the actual test.

Many have posted because the information in the book was not on the test. That's the point! It's a "study guide", not a "study test" (if that's even a thing)! It serves a purpose to get you ready for the concepts that may be presented on the test, not the actual test questions themselves! I passed the Professional Knowledge exam on my first try and I purchased this book. I also used other sources to make sure I was familiar with the concepts and not what I thought the questions would be! Big difference! Purchase this to study the content!

I enjoy using this book as a study guide. It refresh my memory with all vocabulary words. The practice questions in each sections are the best. Plus a practice exam at the end of the book. Of course, it not a book with the answers only it’s a book that you can used to write flash cards or refresh your memory before you take the actual exam

I feel like hardly any of the information in this book was relatively close what was on the actual exam. I passed, but I didn't feel confident coming out of it.

I studied this book throughly for weeks before the test, making annotations, memorizing charts, completing the practice quizzes, only to find that practically NONE of it applied to the actual test. For instance, the prep book places a big emphasis numerous educational theorists (Thorndike, Bloom, Piaget, etc) but not one of these names or theories was brought up on the test. Same goes with the various federal laws (Section 503, IDEA, Title IX, etc).Ultimately, it's not the money I mind having wasted. It's the time.

The questions are nothing like what is on the actual test, save your money and buy the one on the NES website

The book arrived in good condition and I'd recommend the seller. The product itself was less helpful than the online materials.

I am using this book to study for the exam. I have noticed typos in this book. The author needs to proof the book to remove typos.
