Love em so far!

These fit perfectly into my Nolan N44. Didn't need any velcro, are under the liner so except for the cord are completely unobtrusive. The sound is very good, blows away earbuds! Good low end but at higher volume my android needs an amp to prevent distortion. They are usable but not quite enough vol at high road noise. my droid is asus zen2. (This is phone limitation, not speakers)update: loving these. I use them with an adaptor (mini din M to 1/8" stereo F) for the intercom headset output on my Honda F6B. I mount the droid on the clutch master cyl. (ram mount) and use a 1/8" extension cable to go from headphone out of android into the aux in located in glovebox. This allows handgrip vol and mute and provides plenty of power for clean volume and could go to passenger also. Also can hear droid's audiobooks, directions, and the bikes AM/FM stereo and wx, as well as music on a usb stick in the trunk! Long trips much less boring now.

Awesome speakers!

These little speakers are awesome!! I ride a Harley Road King, it's a bit of a noisy machine and I've tried many different ear buds in an effort to get tunes for the ride. None worked well enough. I bought the Uclear speakers, put them in Bear Claw shorty helmet ear pads and they're unbelievable providing a full range of frequencies. I plug the speakers into an Apple 5S phone so the next step is Bluetooth speakers if these ever fail, although the wire isn't much of an issue. The entire install took about 15 minutes, all Velcro, and I should mention that speaker placement in the Bear Claw pads is critical for good sound. Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on how it's going), you will still hear some engine noise but the speakers can be turned up to deafening levels if you so choose to drown out most of the noise. Be aware though, I believe these little dudes can ruin your hearing if used carelessly.Update: 11/30/16 Only one side works now, sounds like a wire is broken. We'll see how the customer service is!

Smaller Diameter Helps With Harder to Fit Helmets

Lots of helmets like my Shoei RF1200 have speaker cutouts that are just a little bit small for most speakers. The stock speakers for my PackTalk Bold communicator are 4.5 cm in diameter and will not fit flush into the helmet's cutouts. You have to pick where they are going to stick up, and they can shift around during use and press against your ears. Ouch! This led me to search high and low for a smaller diameter speaker - and they are hard to find. When you start looking at diameter, you immediately see that the industry has settled on 4.5 cm as a sort of standard.Enter these UClear speakers at just 4.0 cm in diameter. Turns out for helmet speakers , half a centimeter smaller is big. These sit down flat in the speaker "well" and do not move. I am very happy with the fit. So, if you are finding your speaker cutouts are slightly too small, this is a good speaker to try.Moving to sound, they produce mostly midrange and highs, but they are nice and clear in their limited frequency response range. My Cardo can play them uncomfortably loud, so if you are trying to punch your voice communications through ear plugs, it's no problem. So these are average sounding speakers that differentiate themselves by being small enough to fit in some difficult spaces. Just got them, so long term quality has not been evaluated.Ride safe.

Best Helmet Audio for the $$$

I'm gonna give this five stars because it's the best product I've found to meet my needs so far. Lows are better than some helmet speakers I've used. Mids and highs are great, but overall clarity muddles out at high volume. They were a little too big to fit in stock speaker pockets of my Daytona modular, so I had to take a razor to the foam to clean it up a little. Nothing drastic or compromising of safety, just a mm or 2 shave off of one side of the pocket. With regards to volume, I prefer to wear foam ear plugs while on longer rides. I ride a DL650 so the bike isn't overtly loud. Without the plugs, these things can get loud enough to hurt my ears. With foam plugs in, they max out a volume loud enough to be heard alright (will get drowned out by horns and truck tires) at highway speeds. No complaints there. Like I said they go a little muddy at loud settings but you can't hear that through the plugs, and voices are still completely understandable. For the price, you won't get better quality and these are just fine for knocking the monotony out of a long trip. Already recommended these to friends as a cheaper (less battery consuming) alternative to a Bluetooth set and a more comfortable solution than earbuds.

Almost great.

Wish I could give more stars but its obvious that the quality of the speakers dont match the price point. If they were 20 bucks I would give it 5 stars. The actually headphones sound great right up until you turn the volume over half. Then it starts to distort severely. I did buy a headphone amp and hooked it up, they still distorted. So it is definitely not that your device is under powering the headphones but that the headphones are not great quality and can not handle the volume. That defeats their purpose as most anything that requires a full face helmet is going to be a loud ride. In the mean time I still use them.

Great for Skiing

Best thing is that these are a little thinner than my old wireless speakers and the improved ear comfort is night and day. The ones marketed for skiing are too thick and very uncomfortable, whether wired or wireless. Also love not having to worry about connection glitches or remembering to charge speakers. The sound quality is fine for me. It’s not like skiing is an audiophile environment anyway. I find them plenty loud. The wire connection hangs right below my helmet earpiece. Very easy to undo for lift chair conversation and reconnect for downhill. I prefer this to taking my phone out or tapping my earpieces to pause audio. As for the wire, because I’m wearing a helmet, I can’t feel it.
