For those who want more than the standard gluten-free recipes found everywhere
I got this book for my mother recently and I love it! Like most gluten-free cook books it comes with an explanation and introduction into gluten-free cooking. This makes it a great buy for both beginners and veterans alike. One of the things that I love about this book is that it comes with pictures of most of the recipes. The pages are glossy and stiff so if you spill some of your ingredients on it you can wipe them right off. Maybe it's just me but I do that a lot...They have a great selection of recipes. From waffles to arepas (Colombian dish) you will not get bored with what this book has to offer! They even get creative and show you how to make a breakfest pizza (yum!). Some of the recipes take as little as minutes and others over an hour. I would recommend this book to someone with cooking experience, as some of the recipes can be a bit complicated. I'd also recommend it to anyone wanting to spice up their meals with something new . So if you're tired of standard cooking books that have the same recipes in them, order this book! You wont regret it.

The best GF book I've come across to date!
The cookbook arrived today and I can say this is the MOST exciting gluten-free cookbook I've seen to date. Everything about the book is inviting! The pictures combined with the recipes make you want to start trying out even more things as soon as possible. I usually flip through an entire book to find the recipes I'm going to try out. With this book, it would be easier to have skipped this process because there are only a few I do not plan on testing.I appreciate the time spent for clarifying the proportions to make my own flour blends. Other books were not so clear, nor do they explain the rationale for the building blocks. I'm rather new to the baking scene and have been successful with my own variations on things, but this makes it much clearer.This is one is named correctly and an absolute must have. The recipes are super CAN DO!

This book contains many recipes that I will be using regularly
This book contains some very good recipes for people who are avoiding gluten. I had read the reviews and agree that there are some basic recipes that will be very useful. I have used the recipe for the Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour Blend for making strawberry short cake. Everyone loved it. They asked for me to make it again the following day. I used that same flour blend for breading on yellow eye fish. It was very tasty. I have just kept the left flour blend in my refrigerator and have used it whenever I need flour. I have marked many other recipes that I look forward to making. This is a gluten-free recipe book that I would recommend to anyone who is living a gluten free lifestyle.

Good information for newbies, but the recipes aren't very healthy
The first few pages are worth it for people who are new to gluten free and want to understand about it and how to use different flours to bake. However, I am disappointed that the recipes have more sugar and fats than I would like and so I have to figure out further adjustments.

Gluten Free Bible
This is probably one of the best recipe books I have ever owned. Not only are there lots of colorful pictures of the meals, but everything is explained right down to mixing the right flours for cooking and baking. I've never EVER tasted cookies so moist as the one's from this book and even my husband,who is a meat nd potato man loves the recipe's I fix. It's expensive getting started but well worth it to have so many delicious meals to choose from.

Where Was This Book Years Ago!
First it should be known that anyone living at high altitude, none of the baking will work but it still deserves 5 stars. For 4 years now I have struggled trying to find gluten free meals to make and understand what is so important that without gluten things taste like drywall and worse. The great thing about this book is that it explains why gluten does what it does, it adds side notes about substituting dairy and the meals are really simple. So simple that you can take off on your own. I have purchased this book for 6 other people and they have been elated. A must have.Note to authors: If you do another one, please remember us high altitude folks. Cakes, breads, muffins, nothing will turn out other than flatter than a piece of paper.

Wonderful recipes!
This is a wonderful cookbook with beautiful pictures for almost every recipe. I love that they have a dairy-free variation for many of the recipes as we have several people in the family that are dairy intolerant besides gluten. There are several recipes without eggs (granddaughter cannot have eggs) that were wonderful. Just made the fudge cookies...so good. Also tried the chocolate pudding...delicious. And the golden kolachy recipe was absolutely the best. No one could tell that they were gluten free!I love the flour mix as well. It uses almond flour and I think that that has made the difference in the baked goods. Very happy with this book. I am going to buy a copy for my daughter and granddaughter as well.
