Overall this is a very nice Axe that is very nice looking. The wrap is nice and tight and the head is sturdy and strong. But this is not an Axe that i bought for Splitting Logs, i have not tried to do that yet and will not be doing so. Axes of this design are made for Combat and Decoration. if you are looking for an Axe that can Split wood you would be better off getting a Hatchet.

This is a beautifully made axe with a nice weight and tight fit and finish.. The leather sheath is well made and fits very well.. The Damascus pattern gives it a really nice looking finish and the axe is sturdy.. My only complaint is that it does not come sharp but 30 minutes with a file and a puck soon sorted that problem out..

great looking blade and leather sheath good - the handle however (material of wood) seems a bit less impressive and bit soft - but overall very impressive and works well

Well this obviously a gorgeous tool that seems to have many hours of craftsmanship behind it. With that said, I took it out for it's first camping trip and it failed on me 4 logs in (3-4in in diameter). It was working fine untill I noticed a bit of play in the axe head. Upon further inspection and to my dismay, the dowel rod that secures the ax to the handle simply wasn't there. I had to fix it on the fly in order to safety continue splitting wood, shame on me for not bringing a back up axe.

I like the hand crafted ,the fact that is very light and precise. This axes needs hours and dedication to look like this. I am excited with this purchase. 😍

Love how the axe sits comfortably in my hand!The amount of skill it must have taken the person who made this is definitely worth paying for. Love it!
