My bun loved alfalfa cubes when he was younger but doesn't need that much calcium any longer since he is now over 1 year. Unfortunately, half of the bag was loose, no longer in a cube form. Also my bun seemed sluggish after I gave him a bit. Don't know if it was because he is only 3.4 pounds and it was too tuff for him to digest? Whatever the reason, I didn't hesitate to stop feeding these to him after 1x.

UGH! This Hay Cube is soooo close to perfect. The hay doesn’t have alfalfa which is KEY for guinea pigs at least because they shouldn’t have too much alfalfa. Many hay cubes are marketed as “Timothy hay cubes” but if you check the ingredients it has alfalfa in it!! (I’m looking at you Kaytee!). These are sun dried and only Timothy so it’s guilt free!Personally, my piggies moderately enjoy them. They’ll chew it. Not super excited but they do always go around to chewing them and finish them off.My biggest complaint is that either the packaging is poor or the Hay cubes are too delicate and need to be vacuum sealed or something. This is because I’d say probably half the cubes are broken up by the time I receive the cubes so it’s really a waste of cubes when you’re paying for cubes. I still give it to my piggies to rummage through and peck at but if they could improve the packaging this would be an easy 5 stars.Because the quality of the ingredients, it’s 4 stars for sure though!

Update: I’ve tried to replace/return this product however Amazon directs me to get in touch with the manufacturer company and when I do that company says Amazon should be handling it bc it was sold by Amazon. Very disappointed to be in this situation.Our bun likes many of the treats from this company, however, there are some of these cubes that are super hard that our bun won’t eat. Bun has ate some of the smaller pieces but I’ve had to throw away some as well. I took a pic of one piece that I’m concerned about why it has a shiny appearance to it. Is this the way it’s supposed to look? Is it safe for my bun to eat?

I love the packaging. The product is exactly as stated. The cubes can be soaked and expand quickly for feeding. Excellent quality, great value for the money.

My rabbits don't seem to care.for these at all. I end up tossing them every couple of days because they won't touch them. 90% of the box is just tiny bits. Definitely not what I would consider "cubes". Could cery well be why my bunnies wont touch them. Super disappointed. I buy my pellets and hay from this company so I assumed this would be great too.

I've got a 2 year old sulcata tortoise who requires hay as a dietary staple. It's not easy to get these guys into eating hay however I feel this product definitely helped. I add water to soften and break up the cubes, mix in a little pellet food and boom, he loves it!Product seems to be good quality, stays fresh in sealed bag and when adding the water, a little goes a long way. I will continue to order.
