Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Battery Charging Station - Battery Operated

Bought this for my son. He loves this toy and so do his friends. He's used it for a while and the batteries have not run out. Fits with my Thomas and other wooden tracks.

I have been collecting new and used Thomas the Train tracks, trains and accessories for the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway. Throughout the years Thomas and Friends items have been made by different manufacturers. I believe around 2012 the trains for the wooden tracks were all die-cast, battery operated trains that would move along the tracks on their own. I did not read any reviews and thought this was a really cool item that they no longer made because they no longer make the battery operated trains for the wooden tracks. I thought the battery charging station would actually recharge the trains if you used a re-chargeable battery. Good product invention idea but unfortunately that is not what this is. Although I am sure my 2 year old will be thrilled at the light up station, hopefully the noise doesn't get too annoying for the adults.

So disappointed the charging light doesn’t light up. Just spins.
