Acer Aspire One D257-13450 Laptop LCD Screen Replacement 10.1" WSVGA LED

This product arrived on time and in good condition. It connected and fit perfectly. The reason that I didn't give it five stars is that there were 4 pixels that don't work properly. For the most part you don't even notice them but they do catch your eye at times. Since the price was less than half of other similar products I can live with it. I just wish that it would have been mentioned somewhere in the product description. That way I could have decided ahead of time if I wanted to pay more for one without the defects. If you don't mind a few pixels not working it is a good fix for a broken screen.

Not sure what caused it but one day I opened up my notebook and saw that there was a crack all on one corner of the screen that prevented the original screen from fully working. Just having bought the computer not long before that I figured I would look into replacing the screen. Lucky Amazon has everything and I was able to find a replacement LCD screen for a reasonable price. I found a video online that helped me through the installation process. This screen was very easy to install with the right tools. After I installed it turned it on and looks just as if it did when the notebook was brand new. Perfect screen quality. Was really happy that this product was available on Amazon.

The screen is wonderfully bright and the picture is clear as day. It is honestly almost better than the previous screen. I only have one incredibly glaring and insurmountable problem. After installing it carefully and starting the netbook, there is a persistent high-pitched whine that emits from the screen's controller' board. I reseated the connector and that whine is still there. I reconnected the old screen and there is no whine. After switching back to the new screen the whine is then again present. I wish I could overlook this, but the pitch and volume of the whine is such that it cannot be ignored no matter how I try, and eventually caused a very painful headache.

Product screen size is correct however mounting brackets do not align. Was only able to screw one screw in. Fortunately the screen is held in place. No defects on the display. Simple replacement process.

Fairly easy to install but NO instructions included. Took cracked screen out & replaced with new making map as I went. Reassembled exactly as disassembled which didn't work the first time. Opened it again & found I had not full seated connectors. Did that, reassembled again & computer was like new.
