Good lock with anti bump nodules
Note that this lock has two nodules which mean you cannot fit it from the inside; this is to protect you! From having the lock snapped and pushed through into the house.This means you need to pass the luck from the outside of the door to the inside, along with the thumb turn. Once I realised this it was a doddle to install.Funnily, the lock I was replacing also had these nodules and the installer obviously didn't work that out so had been forced to file off the nodules painstakingly

Remove the Thumbturn BEFORE attempting to install
If you are installing this lock to an older door, in addition to first removing your door handle, you may need to remove the Thumb-turn to the new lock itself. This can be done very easily - there is a small grub-screw located on the shaft near the thumb-turn itself. Use an appropriately sized allen-key and simply loosen this grub-screw. This will allow you to remove the thumb-turn itself, and pass the cylinder lock through the lock-opening in your door. You can then re-attach the thumb-turn, tighten the grub screw and re-install your door handles etc. I fitted this lock in under 5minutes - its very straightforward.Some of the previous reviews have mentioned needing to grind off the steel nubs that actually are part of the anti-burglary features of this lock. If you remove the thumb-turn, you won't need to do this even if the existing lock-opening to the door is tight.

Good quality
Nice strong lock and fairly easy to fit HOWEVER if you’re fitting to a composite door with an exact hole already cut be prepared you may need to alter the pre drilled hole as this lock has 2 bumps that can stop fitting. Easily rectified and happy with final result.

You'll need a small file.
Two 'security' features, knobs sticking out of the barrel, required the existing frame to be filed toaccommodate (both sides!). After that, fitted easily, worked straight away. Keys are a bit 'raw' at first. Assume they will bed in.Be aware, extra keys are an inch or so 'too' long for some reason.

Correct measurements of old lock essential to order correct size.
Excellent replacement lock, high quality which I expect from Yale, keys look pretty cool too.Easy to install, took me about 10 minutes to replace old with new. Make sure you get correct measurements before ordering. Arrived on time.

Great Secure lock
Used this as a replacement lock on front door of our new house, easy to fit once you realise that it must be fitted from the outside due to the security features, not the same as a more conventional euro cylinder lock.Very solid lock with hard to duplicate keys.Thumbturn makes it easy to lock from the inside.

Great..... but
Great lock, but didn't come with the Allen key to remove the thumb handle. You have to remove the door handles to install the lock and slide it in from the outside, so removing the thumb lock is essential.

An excellent lock.
A very nice and secure lock with really good anti theft action. I especially like the fact the key will fit either way around, really good on those dark nights when you're struggling to put the key in in the rain.
