Work as Intended just fine
Bought the ultra saw for a DIY subfloor replacement and was very impressed with the saws capabilities. The blades not so much. Yes this is a wood blade and yes I knew there were metal fasteners in the old work but a few were simply unavoidable. The slightest minor contact with any nail or staple will diminish the cutting efficiency so this was a quick lesson learned. While I had the option to breakout the 30 year old SawCat, I finished the job with the Ultra. Researching alternate cutting blades hoping to find something more durable. For wood only they're great.

Easily cuts tile
I had a small area to cut on existing tile and it did a great job. It was a nice clean cut and it cut without a lot of pressure.

Durable blade
I'm a little ambivalent about the Dremel Ultrasaw. It's been good for flush cuts under thresholds but that's about it. I'm a little pissed off that the blade size is so unusual there are no alternative sources for blades.However, I needed to cut about 50 porcelain tiles for a backsplash project. Using a jig and a squirt bottle for water lubrication this blade cut them all and is ready for more. It also proved able for plunge cutting square openings for outlets. Couldn't have been more pleased, and the blade seems little worse for the wear. I'd do it again, of course.I was glad I had some diamond t blades for my jig saw to clean up the plunge cuts, but the Dremel blade was the real champ.
