Fox RunSteel Ice Pick with Wooden Cover, 2 x 2 x 8 inches, Multicolored

We don't have an ice maker. so we buy bags of ice that tend to refreeze in to a big block of ice. I keep this in the freezer so it's handy to break up the ice. I like the wooden sheath. I can store it without putting unintended holes in things. The only down size it that by ordering an ice pick online I am sure I have just been place on some watch list. :-)

Chrome came off and started to rust. Other than that, did the job and did come with a cover.

This a very sturdy ice pick because I used it to break up frozen ice behind my ice dispenser and it did the trick! I can tell it is well made and will last. The wood on the handle and the holder is attractive. One of the reasons I bought it was there is a holder included and the ice pick fits perfect. This also came well packaged.

The ice pick is very nice, seems to be made well. It's a bit less hefty than I had expected... that shouldn't interfere with it doing a nice job, however. Nice to have the cover to protect the point, and protect the people handling it !!

This is a great product. I see that some folks complain about the wood sleeve not fitting. However, you have to give it an extra push into the hole. It does show resistence when you first put it in the protective wood sleeve. However, just push it on in the hole. The ice pic itself works great. I used it yesterday to chop up ice for the blender.

I purchased this in March. The chrome tip has already chipped off and it only gets used once or twice a week. Very disappointing and a waste of money. I now need to shop for and purchase another one.

I'll admit, I like the handle of this ice pick, but the cover is completely worthless, and the only way it would remain on the pick is if you used duct tape to keep it there. So if you purchase this, realize you will need to use a wine cork to protect both the point and your hands.I would have preferred to give it a 2.5 stars (somewhere between "I don't like it" and "it's ok") but since the cover was the selling point for me, then I'm pretty disappointed.

I love this ice pick. Simple and reminiscent of one we had in my childhood home. After years of using forks and knives and getting yelled at by my significant other, I decided to to look for a specific tool for the task. Works great.... wonder how I got along without it.

I bought this to poke holes in my drip irrigation hoses. It works well enough.
