Snark Tuner (SN3)

For the price, I wasn't expecting too much. BUT WOW, I was surprised what a great tuner this is. The metronome is OK, but I really don't need that part. The tuner is excellent when plugged into an electric guitar cable, and its also very good when used acoustically with it's built in mic. The LED display calibration is so much more sensitive and accurate than the KORG tuner I have. Glad I got this model instead of the clip-on version because it uses 2 AAA batteries and I can use rechargeables that way and get extended use instead of having one of those little non rechargeable aspirin sized camera batteries. This thing is amazing, my only concern is that the ON/OFF switch is a little cheap, but Hey, that is to be expected. They would have to charge five bucks more to put a better switch on it, so as long as it works, I'm very happy. I like products like this because if I happen to lose it, it's not the end of the world and I don't feel bad about letting others borrow it...

It works well with several different instruments that I have. Makes tuning a lot easier and accurate. It is a good value.

Exceeded my expectation! Works as intended and great for its price!Looks classy and the built is really nice! I would definitely gonna buy one and give it as gift to my friends or loved ones.

I’ll preface this by saying this is my first amazon review of a product out of thousands of items ordered but this ticked me off so bad I’m spending the time to review this one. This tuner worked for about 3 months solidly; no issues. But then it started only showing a fixed F note no matter what sound it was receiving. Fresh batteries would cure the issue for 15 minutes but then, solid F# out of tune no matter what. It’s been infuriating and I have to recharge batteries to full capacity and then slam the tuner on the table 5-10 time to even read the E string. I want to send this product to Congress because it’s one of the only things I’ve encountered that worms less than they do. I’m still salty. Fix your product, it has too many stars for this kind of result.

Good for the price, the metronome works well. The tuner can be a little testy.

I just bought a couple of these for my kids to go with their Daisy Rock guitars.The color display is really easy to work with.They seem to be accurate and are great value.Haven't used the metronome feature yet but we'll see.The only thing I'd add is an outlet jack to allow permanent connection between a guitar and amp.

I love the way this tuner works, with a bright screen and easy to use controls. The metronome feature is also a nice addition. It's a bit lightweight, making it seem like it wont last very long if even dropped once, but it hit the floor many times on me already and it's still going strong :-) This is a great tuner at an even better price, try it out and see for yourself!

I first used Snark tuners in the clip on style. I've always avoided clip on tuners because they never worked well. The Snark changed my mind the first time I tried one, and I subsequently bought one. When I needed a tuner for my teenaged son to carry in his guitar case, I naturally looked at the Snark line. the SN-3 was a recent addition at the time so I gave it a shot. It is accurate, fast, and very user-friendly. We're very happy with the product. The reason I chose this model was because the clip on variety has a tendency to break where the post between the tuner and the clip joins the clip. It's still usable, but not as a clip on any longer. With the SN-3 you get all of the good with none of the bad--a real no-brainer.
