Finally reviewing this thing!This pack must be almost 10 years old! I love this thing! It has seen a TON of surf fishing days, getting crushed by rocks, with me falling on my butt and back while crawling over a ton of rocks to get to the beach. It even survived a horrible incident when i got washed out into the ocean in Jan 2022!I use this lumbar pack strictly for fishing in the northern california surf. I dont clean this pack. I have maybe washed it out once to get rid of all the sand that has accumulated inside? Other than that, this thing gets HIGHLY abused.Over the years, things defintely gave out, but were all repairable on my end: the netting started to rip around my water bottle/bait bottles - fixed with some thick thread used for leather making cuz that's what i had lying around. bad old rip in the upper left corner after a bad fall, once again, repaired with some leather thread. The lashes for one of the bottles is completely gone. The other one, the elastic's completely given up. THe clips are all rusted so no way to remove hte shoulder strap now. I've lost the fly patch and dont know where to source a new one - maybe i'll message Allen company, but honestly i just made a new one with some foam and velcro loop. The threading that makes the loops on the very back of the pack just recently gave out - easily fixed with some sewing. The velcro loop started to come off, again some sewing and its good as new. All the zippers still work despite all the sand and salt it went through.Boy oh BOY! This pack has seen it's day - i ended up buying a replacement 2 years ago (2021) - but never got around to retiring this old thing. It holds a lot of sentimental value and right now, it's still doing its job well - I dont see myself retiring it unless it's a catastrophic failure of some kind.Even still, if this thing lasted this long through the crap i put it through, then the exact replacement i just bought will last JUST as long!I'm very happy with this pack! it's a beast!

Very nice pack for stream fishing in the mountains. You only need a few things and something light and fitting on your waist is perfect.

It originally shipped missing the sling strap but they replaced it right away. It's a great product and I've used it a couple times now. Best pack I've had yet!

This pack is just as good at the older Fishpond gear I’ve used for way less. I like Fishpond, but man, some of there packs are just way too expensive. I needed a new lumbar/hip pack and went with this. I really like it. The strap could be a little better, but my Fishpond pack has the same issue, so I can’t complain. I use this pack more than any of my other packs now. I do wish I was a little more maneuverable on the hip, and that the net pouch was designed to allow the pack to be moved easier. Other than that, you can’t beat this pack at this price point. I would highly recommend.

Edit from 5 to 3 star:Well it's been just over a year and a few fishing trips but not a huge amount. I recently discovered a pretty large hole where the stitching has started coming apart. I can sew it and prevent further holes with shoe glue or E6000 glue, but this does decrease my opinion of these by quite a bit, especially frustrating as it just happened outside of the 1 year warranty period.Orignal review:Holds all I need really well, even my fishing net! It's very comfortable. Its hard finding quality this nice these days.If the belt didn't need some tampering to stay snug I'd say its perfect.
