The best oral simulation product around
This is probably my favorite product for my son who’s autistic. The strength of these Legos is insane. Your first thought would be $20 kind of expensive. Highly worth it. I’ve bought a few of these only because I want to ensure he has enough for school home ABA, etc.. He can’t bite through these and they’re easy to clean.

Absolutely Perfect!!!
I bought this item on Decembee 8, 2016 for my son, who is 6 and always needs so.ething to chew on. It has been wonderful, and I have done my best to make sure he has worn it every day. After a phone call from the school yesterdsy, I realized my son has not worn it this week. The staff has seen a HUGE difference in his behavior without his chewy. They report that while chewing on his lego chewy, he is able to sit still longer, and pay attention more. I am super excited to hear this wonderful feed back. Because of it, I am not looking to purchase two more! After readinging through the product information, I now realize there are different strengths for each color. While this green one has held up great since Christmas, it does show the wear and tear on it. Because of that I am going to try the blue one which says it is stronger than the green one. I already have it and a red one in my cart. I am going to read the red one's information before purchase, just to make sure its for an aggressive chewer. So, my only adviceis to pay attention to the chewers level of chewi g and read the product description to make sure the color you are looking at will support the chewrs needs. Like I said, this green one has held up great and the only reason I am buying more at this point is so that the school has one on hand if he forgets his green one, and so that I have an extra one on hand incase something happens to his green one. I love this product so much and so does my son! Im so happy someone created it!EDIT: After writing this review I went to look at the colors and noticed that red is actually rated at soft. So instead I have added Purple and Teal to my cart because they are rated at Extra Extra Tough. On top of the toughness differences, I saw a couple of other people talking about the clasp. I did forget to mention this aspect. Yes, it is a "cheaply made" clasp, and it does break away nicely when pulled on. From a mother a d a teachers point of view, I believe the creator made the clasp in this manor for safety reasons. That way the child can not be choke by the necklace. With that said, the length also adds further safety for our children with more than enough room so they do not choke.*I have added a picture of my son with his green one when he first started using it. I will come back later and post a couple more picture of what the chewy looks like later today.

Medium firmness was perfect
My 3yo isn't high on oral needs but he sucks his hands sometimes. This is by far the most discrete and appropriate looking chew necklace I could find that isn't outrages in price. The medium firmness was just right, it's similar to most teething rings. And if he didn't need to chew he could just hold it for texture (though he didn't do that). The clasp closure was a bit weak. My son could undo it easily. We ended up trimming the string to his length and tying the ends. It's good for car trips too.

Works for school
Nice to have for chewing on something in class. This is allowed in class at the elementary school level. I bought a second one because it worked so well

These fall apart.
I loved the other products by ARC that I have purchased, but I was so disappointed in this one. The item came apart down the middle posing a choking hazard which is a significant problem for a product that is meant to go in kids mouths. This product started to come apart only after a few days of use. In the trash they went.

Having this around his heck means if he's tempted to stick a (insert pretty much anything here) in his mouth
We got this for our son, who is a 4 year old autistic kid. Chewing is something he does almost constantly, and besides the fact that chewing on things not meant to be chewed on can be dangerous I'm getting tired of replacing combs and other items every time he sticks something he shouldn't in his mouth. Having this around his heck means if he's tempted to stick a (insert pretty much anything here) in his mouth, he has a safe alternative that he won't get fussed at for. We have noticed that having something readily to hand to chew on helps his concentration in other areas, so that's been nice. The drool that comes with the chewing is less welcome, but you have to take the bad with the good.I'm giving this product four stars instead of five, though, because it just didn't last as long as I expected it to. That may be unfair, this was our first time purchasing a chew-type product for our child since he gave up on pacifiers, but we got the second-highest chew rating they have, and it costs $20. I was hoping to get more than 2 weeks of mileage out of it before having to throw it away. $40 a month on chew items is not cheap. We are, after this next one wears out, purchasing the next level up of toughness. We'll see how that one stands up to his teeth. I'm also wondering if getting one a different shape might help. He likes scraping the bumps on his teeth, but that is what's really deteriorating the fastest and forcing me to replace it with a new one. I almost wish it was half the size, actually, because half the brick is still almost new, I just don't know of a safe way to remove the part breaking down. Would that damage the overall integrity of the chew toy to the point that it can't be safely used? I just don't know. So, over all very happy. Couple complaints, but nothing major and we will still be purchasing further items from this company as my son chews through them.

It really looks like a lego
The cord is very long but this is easy to fix. When you open the clasp, you can slide down the plastic clasp half, make a knot at a better length and then cut off the excess cord. Then just slide the clasp back into place and put it on as usual. Now it's the perfect length. This is a great buy for my lego loving 5 year old who bites his toes or bottom lip until he's sore. It's not dorky looking at all, some of chew necklaces look like a baby teether on a string. He was even complimented on it by other little boys on his cool necklace. He's also using it as a fidget, rubbing his fingers over the nubs when concentrating.
