Hayward CX3000C Cartridge Filter Bottom Collector Manifold, Color may vary

Excellent fit for my Hayward Cartridge Filter. Followed an online customer's advise and it worked great.1. Drain filter, remove upper cover as you would when cleaning filters2. Remove filters3. Disconnect the intake and outtake pipes from filter body with large pipe wrench4. Slide filter body away from pipes and remove lower bulk head fitting (part name) from filter body with large pipe wrench (It is the lower fitting that screws right into the side of the filter body)5. The manifold along with the elbow pipe should just lift out6. Disconnect air relief tube from old manifold by loosening the set screw7. Remove elbow pipe from manifold. I used a small flat screw driver and gently pried away the old manifold8. On the elbow pipe there is an o-ring that should be lubed with pool lubricant9. Put new O-rings on both intake and outtake pipes (I ordered them when I purchased this manifold)Put all back together in reverse order.

My pool was blowing dirt from the jets and was not cleaning. I removed the filters and cleaned them, re-installed them, but I still had a problem with the pool not being cleaned, and dirt blowing out of the jets.I removed the filters and drained the water from the filter housing, and could see the manifold was cracked; when I removed the manifold, I could see it had some other holes and cracks in the bottom and that the side had delaminated.I went to the local pool supply store, and was quoted several days before the part would arrive, and that it would be $100. I decided to check for an online price, and found this part on Amazon. I checked the local pool supply's website and determined it was the replacement part, and purchased it.Installation took 5 minutes, once the top of the filter housing was off. I removed the cartridges, and pushed-down on the side where the water inlet pipe was while lifting up on the opposite side of the (old) manifold. The new manifold did not appear to fit quite right at first, however, when I aligned the female fitting under the was inlet pipe, and pulled up on the side of the manifold with the female fitting (while pushing down on the opposite side - minimal force), it fit perfect and set right into place. This process was extremely easy.I set the filters and housing back on, and started the pump; within two hours the pool was crystal-clear again.In retrospect, it was very clear that the holes and cracks in the manifold were allowing incoming water to bypass the filters and just recirculating out again as dirty water. Fixing the condition was beyond easy, took only a few moments, and produced an outstanding result.

Pool guy found this online. His supplier was way more expensive and it would take months before I’d get it. Since the pool was open we needed it right away Ordered this, came in days for less money. Filter is running great

I ordered this item and paid the premium price. The description says manufactured by Hayward. This item in an aftermarket product that is selling for almost half what I paid for it. I could have ordered the other item but I ordered this one thinking that it is from Hayward. I realized this after I installed the item. On a good note, the item fit in the equipment properly.

OEM replacement part, fits perfectly. Hardest part was getting the old one out, which was brittle and cracked, about 15yrs old. This one dropped in easily, an exact fit, and very likely last another 15 years. Thanks for keeping this part available!

East to install this part is easy to over look if your filters are pluged and you over look the housing will get damaged

Solid product, very strong plastic. Tight fit in the filter bottom, but it works perfectly! The item was delivered quickly and I highly recommend the vendor.

Old manifold was cracked letting some water and dirt bypass cartridges. The part I received appeared to have a small defect. On the bottom there was a small randomly placed screw into the body. I can only conclude there was a minor defect or pinhole that was plugged with a screw. Only reason I can't give 5 stars.Much cheaper than having a pool repair service. Not difficult to do. If you clean your own filters, you can swap out the manifold. Never done it before and it took just under an hour (not counting time to clean filters). Here are the steps I took:1) Drain filter and remove upper filter cover as you would when cleaning filters.2) Remove filters.3) Disconnect the intake and outtake pipes from filter body with large pipe wrench.4) Slide filter body away from pipes and remove lower bulk head fitting (part name?) from filter body with large pipe wrench. (It is the lower fitting that screws right into the side of the filter body.)5) The manifold along with elbow pipe should now just lift out.6) Disconnect air relief tube from old manifold by loosening the set screw.7) Remove elbow pipe from manifold. They should just pull apart. Mine was difficult to pull apart. With a small flat screwdriver, I had to gently pry away the old manifold from the elbow pipe before it pulled apart.8) On the elbow pipe there is an o-ring that should be lubed with pool lubricant. May want to replace o-ring.9) Put all back together in reverse order.
