Kirby Sentria Cord, Grey

Literally just got this 10 minutes ago and I’m writing a good review bec this cord saved me hundreds. My husband was ready to throw in the towel with our old Sentria G10D Kirby since it no longer would even turn on 80% of the time unless we slammed it around. He wanted to buy a Dyson. I wanted to save money since this Kirby already cost nearly two grand. I kind of hate this sweeper since it is a monument to the impulsive buying that plagues my family (*cough* husband).Anywayyyy... I watched a few long and complicated YouTube videos showing me how to completely disassemble my sweeper (nope. Not doing that) and became frustrated myself with the options of 1- becoming an apprentice Kirby repairwoman (I already have a masters degree in poetry- no more useless education for THIS gal) 2- spending $600 on another highly hyped sweeper because *we got a decent tax refund* (read that part in my husband’s voice, if you can imagine it).Decided to give the sweeper one last “Hail Mary” look-over and noticed the cord was wonky and when I held the cord at certain angles, it would miraculously roar to life. Searched the part on Amazon, found this reasonably priced option and in 2 days (and 10 minutes— 7 minutes of that searching for the star shaped screwdriver) BLAM. I got me a working Kirby again.Sure, it would have been nice not having to spend 40 minutes and the equivalent of an engine overhaul to sweep the stairs with unwieldily attachments if I bought a Dyson. And sweeper related injuries could have dropped by 83%. And I could have escaped the lost cost fallacy by just ridding my life of this sweeper for once and for all in spite of how much it cost (and continues to cost) me.All bs aside, this product came fast, installed easily, and it WORKS. Yay.

not same color as the old cord but was not real expensive, it came very fast ,everything fits and it works. I am happy

I had found my Kirby in the trash at a local thrift store. They had cut off the cord. I looked on utube to see how to replace it. It was VERY simple , only two screws and the new one just plugged in. No rewiring. Vaccum work's great!

Easy swap for our broken cord...I had one replaced years ago by Kirby store...cheaper to do on your own. Had no idea how easy it is. Cord fits our Sentria. Ordered grey, packaging says grey. Cord is black. That is why I gave it 4 stars...otherwise perfect.

Exact replacement for the cord that was damaged on my daughters vacuum. Fit perfectly and was fairly easy to install.

The cord is not Grey. It is black. Works fine. Not what was advertised.

Cheap alternative for when your dog eats the power cord. Was easy to install once I watched a YouTube video on how to do it. It's a different shade from my sentria 2 but that seriously bothers me none.

This cord installed very easily! I have a cat that loves to chew on vacuum cords. That's the only thing she chews so I think she is trying to disable it due to the noise factor. This is a great cord and is the same as the one that came with my Kirby
