A raucous teen comedy produced in association with Severin Films, Devolved stars Gary Entin (star of Lionsgate's upcoming Seconds Apart), Lindsey Shaw (star of ABC's 10 Things I Hate About You), and Robert Adamson (star of ABC's Lincoln Heights) as leaders of opposing factions of teenagers who find themselves shipwrecked on an uncharted island off the Mexican coast. Faced with the prospect of a long-term stay, the island soon degenerates into a struggle between two groups; teens who want high school to end as fast as possible, and teens who never want high school to end. Also starring Chris Kattan (Saturday Night Live, Night at the Roxbury), Devolved will no doubt serve as a cautionary tale to future generations of filmgoers on the dangers of peaking at 18.

A B-Movie Quasi-Literary Jaunt With Bikinis
This is "Lord of the Flies" for a generation that cannot take their eyes off of their phones and for whom there are no facts if there is not a YouTube video explaining it.Plus bikinis. Which is an obvious positive. It is a B-movie, and therefore subject to all the vagaries of B-movies (particularly annoying is that sound levels don't seem to be consistent). However, the acting is better than that you might find in a typical HellyWeird "blockbuster" post-2011 or so, and the story does make a lot of sense. Especially, as I said, if you have read "Lord of the Flies." The humor is more or less solid, and where it becomes a little clangy, at least the attempt was solid. The ending is subject to such an incredible *Deus ex machina* moment that, frankly, it is probably the *Deus ex machina* moment to end all *Deus ex machina* moments. Also, the police are way out of their jurisdiction.

Are we not men. We are devolved!
I thought this movie was a crack-up. The premise is great, popular kids vs the nurds who are stuck on an island. Chris Kattan plays a football position coach who delivers such an inspirational speech on life after graduating high school. "I've seen your future..."The Rog and this movie were like a prequel to "Idiocracy" with a narrator more like the old HBO NFL show. T-Rey, what a musician. The comedy just rolls in this movie with the dialog and people. I will watch this movie again for sure. I have never seen "Lord of the Flies" but I imagine it was something like this movie.

Chris Kattan has really hit rock bottom
No one making this movie had to think any of it was funny, did they? At all?

Disappointing!!!!
I'm a fan of Lindsey Shaw, but this I just couldn't sit through. The story line took me nowhere. I just couldn't follow it.
