This is an exact replacement for the float valve in my inground automatic pool filler.

I been servicing swimming pools for the last 25 years and this brass valve is the best available in my opinion. Most of my pools arehigh end pools in gated communities and when replacing an auto fill valve I want one that is brass and not made of plastic. This one has a wing nut that makes it very easy to adjust. Yes, it is expensive but you don’t want to go cheap when inferior plastic valves will fail on or off, meaning failing in the off position you’re pool water level will drop and the skimmer will start sucking in air and if it fails on it will flood the yard or home.

All brass and stainless parts. Holding up good so far.

Fast delivery, nicely packaged. Installed very easily- use the proper tape (Teflon) first, as many have posted.This is the replacement for the original that builders decided to use for the small tank there. I had no input on the choice so I won't comment on the design, but the first one lasted 8 years so I'm not too upset. With chemicals or even just stagnate water in Texas heat, the brass will take a hit. I know someone with a plastic unit and they commented on not preferring plastic so I decided to stick with this model.I'm not sure how much money I saved getting it through Amazon, but using Prime was a plus.I'll update with more information if anything changes.
