Best addition to our family reunion!
After several years of playing with various cheap net sets around the $30 price point, and being frusterated because I had to buy a new one every year, I decided to make an investment this year and purchase a "professional net" to make our games all the more official, and get something that would last a while. I couldn't be happier with this net- it is truly built to last, and all weekend long the comments kept coming in about how it was "the best volleyball game we ever played". Any net that can withstand 3-4 adults being thrown into it and doesn't fall over or break is truly a serious net. I was a little worried that they only wanted $89.99 for this net (watch the price on it, it's gone anwhere from $69.99 to $169.99 on amazon....price seems to change daily)- could it really be that good for $89.99. YES! I ordered this net a week before memorial day, and the box was so damaged that UPS could not deliver it. I called Amazon, worried that I would not have it in time for my trip, and they sent a new one right away. Set up was fairly easy, and I was simply amazed at how it held up with some rough adults. I noticed that after a few rains throughout the weekend, the clips that hold the net onto the poles to help keep it in place were rusting (this is ok, a little spraypaint will fix it- but just beware of this). The poles are really high quality, and the net is very professional. Worth the price by all means- and an instant success at our house. Take down was also really easy, and everything fit really nicely into the bag. You will not be dissapointed in this purchase!

updated info.
I have only used it one day at a function. It was easy to set up. The net and poles are very nice. Make sure there are no small kids trying to hang on anything though as it will break. It folds easy into a bag and is ready to go again. with 2 people takes about 5 minutes to set it up, and it works in grass well even though it was designed for sand. Two complaints I have are 1) the ball and pump were junk. Do yourself a favor and just buy a decent one at Target or Walmart. 2) the rings used to tighten the support ropes slide a little, making it necessary to slide them to retighten them every ten minutes or so. It only takes a second to do so its not a big problem. I just wish there was a normal set up so once its tight its solid all day. Ease of set up and portability make this a good buy. Just buy a better ball......now i have had the kit a few years and have used it at several parties. everything has held up nice. easy and quick to set up, take down, and maintain. love volleyball and this has everything you need. forget what i typed earlier. this is a great kit for anyone that loves the game. ask my relatives that want to go to the hospital after playing a day together. we get into it and its a great product.

I generally go where there is a professional net system setup but I wanted something portable for parties and/or just goofing around at home that was pretty easy to setup and could actually withstand a spike ...
I play volleyball quite regularly (2+ times a week) and I play at Intermediate-Power levels. I generally go where there is a professional net system setup but I wanted something portable for parties and/or just goofing around at home that was pretty easy to setup and could actually withstand a spike and some aggressive net play.Setup ( 3 out of 5 stars )I thought that the process for setting up the net was extremely easy. You basically just take the poles out bag, slide the net onto the poles, attach the net top line ( I think it's a nylon rope ) to each pole, setup the guylines and tighten the net with the guylines very snazzy quick adjustment system.I thought getting the net tight enough was a little weird because you have to keep the top and bottom tape even otherwise you'll way over tighten the top (or bottom) and the other side would be loose yet. But once you get it right, it works pretty well. Not a complaint just a heads up.I knocked 1 star off because one of my poles was missing the ground cover so the pole kept sinking into the ground. I had to place a block of wood underneath the pole to keep it from sinking.I also knocked another star off because the boundary lines were WAY OFF. Volleyball courts are 30' x 60' and the boundary lines weren't even square and weren't even close. They came measured in at around 35' x 66' (it wasn't square). I had to spend an extra 30 minutes with a tape measure adjusting the lines. I don't know if they intentionally send the lines long and expect you to adjust them yourselves but it's rather annoying.Quality ( 4.5 out of 5 stars)The quality of the Net and Pole systems are top notch. The only thing I would have liked to see was a steel cable ran through the top of the net rather than the nylon rope that will likely stretch out over time. If they just removed the crappy volleyball with a steel cable that would be awesome.Performance ( 3.5 out of 5 stars )Overall the performance was about as expected with a portable net system.Spiking was fine on the net. Spikes that went into the tape would usually go over the net rather than stopping, but they were slowed down a good bit. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I think if you went to your local hardware store and just replaced the nylon cable with a steel cable it would probably resolve this problem and only cost you another $20(ish).Playing off the net was actually much better than expected. You could get the net tight enough that we had a couple plays off the net. It's not going to bounce super far off the net but the bottom definitely stayed in place and didn't just get pushed out of the way so that was extremely nice!Players hitting the net and/or pulling on it didn't really seem to cause any issues. It just snapped right back into place and we didn't need to tighten it back up afterwords.Overall ( 3.5-4 out of 5 stars )I think it's a pretty nice net system and at a reasonable price. My only suggestions would be to:1. Remove the volleyball from the "set"2. Replace the Nylon cable with a Steel cable3. Actually measure the boundary lines. (Or potentially even use the 2" webbing boundary lines)I would be willing to pay another $50-75 possibly more if they did those 3 things.

Durable net. Easy to set up.
This is a very durable net. I thought it would be a bit flimsy due to its weight as it is on the lighter side. Easy to assemble. Quick set up and take down once you learn what you are doing.
