Milwaukee Adapter Converter for M18 18V Li-ion Battery; Compatible with V18 48-11-1830, 48-11-2200, 48-11-2230 18V NI-CD Tool Batteries

Bought specifically to use an older Milwaukee saw with newer battery. Works as intended. I had thought the adapter would cause the battery to hang off too much but is doesn't get in the way of the saw.

Shame on Milwaukee for not coming out with this adaptor and making us buy all new 18v tools! I was about to pitch my old tools and saw this. Works great!! All my old tools are happy to be back in the power tool lineup. Here's a pic of my old drill, ready to go.

Adapter works great, can't find any of those old batteries for sale. New m18 batteries work better.

When first received, the battery adapter would not fit on the drill nor would 3 different batteries fit in the adapter. Loosening the three screws on the adapter, inserted the adapter on the drill and a battery in the adapter then re-tighten the screws. I was then able to insert and remove the adapter from the drill and all three batteries worked in the adapter. Where the adapter has a USB port and there will always be an idle current I feel that the battery should be removed from the adapter with the drill is not in use for a while to conserve battery life. The adapter is a great device saving an older tool. If someone would just make an adapter for my 12 V DeWalt tools which I have several.

This adapter is really nice to have if you have the old NiCad battery system. It utilizes the use of your NiCad tools with the Lithium Ion batteries. No need to buy new tools if the older ones work good. You will have to buy a new charger and batteries which you can purchase as what is called a starter kit.

BROKE INSIDE?

I was concerned about all the $$$ I spent on my old Milwaukee 18-volt tools as I was tired of having the local Battery Store rebuild the batteries every few years. For Christmas, I was given a new 18 Volt Lithium Milwaukee light which kind of forced me to start thinking about getting rid of my old tools. Then I stumbled across this adapter and no longer need to worry about what to do (both NiCd and V18). As one reviewer commented, the housing is made via injection-mold not a 3D printer. It fits tightly and comes off with just slight bit of effort...and no worries about it falling off the tool. The adapter saved me from having to replace all of old 18-volt tools. It is worth its weight in gold to me.

Great adapter to save yourself from buying new tools or the older expensive battery and having two sets of battery’s laying around!

Milwaukee skins last me as a diy home user a very long time but the batteries only lasted 8 years so very economical alternative to buying new skins happy to be able to revive my old skins which were completely seviceable

Husband says it was worth the money, works well and is very happy with this purchase
