Great phone. I love it. Despite the negatives below.Some things:- I cracked the screen and apparently even the smallest crack on screen makes the touch unresponsive rendering the phone useless. I got it replaced and it works fine now. I think to fix just the screen is more expensive than other flagship phones like Samsung. It cost me $230 in the states to fix. In order to fix they have to remove everything from the phone to get toit.- The battery is hard to remove. You have to heat the back and pry it open to get to the battery.- I haven't dunked my phone completely in the water or anything. But I'm not exactly careful when it comes to water and it works fine. Examples include me using phone when bathing with wet hands, rain, spills and putting phone under a running faucet to clean it lol.- There is complaints of the phone getting very hot and overheating. Honestly its not that bad, any phone can get hot after prolonged use and I have never had it overheat to the point where it shuts down . I think that when I first got the phone it would get hotter quickly opposed to how it is now. My theory is that it was a new unused phone and was not used to being used as much as it is now.- if I think of anything else I'll come back

Bought the phone 2 weeks ago. The phone came in a small box, and it is a Hong Kong version, with everything in Chinese since this is a international version of the phone. I use T-Mobile in USA, and it worked just find with the LTE. The phone did came with a VERY SMALL scratch on the side. I contact the seller, and they are willing to take the phone back for a look and replace a new one, but I had to leave town couple of days later so I did not return it since it was a very small scratch, and they were willing to accept the return. The seller however was not from Sony, it is by OE USA. The phone is also very thin and I am still not fully used to it, also I took the phone to the pool, and was able to use it for a good while, but it started to heat up and after a long while, it turn off by itself. After that I was able to turn my phone back on with no problem at all. So far I like it, will give more update later.Update Oct 21 2015- The phone seem to work fine still, one problem I do seem to be having is that when I put a phone call on speaker, the other caller seem to not be able to hear me when I talk. Not sure what is the cause of the problem.

Great phone! I would consider myself to be tech savvy so I did my research before buying a new phone but I always came back to this one. And now my wife and I have had them for about 4 months now and we have no complaints. Battery life is great, I haven't had any over heating issues, and the fact that it is waterproof is a really nice feature to have. I had a couple different HTC phones before this one, including the newest One, and I love this phone so much better in every way. I am now a Sony smart phone user for life. We use them on At&t network and we always have great service. Couldn't be happier with the phone. I can't wait to see what the z6 has to offer

Great phone, really liked it, has a vivid screen, great camera, really fast, lot's of memory, The only downside was the heating issue but after some software updates almost all of them went away, still heats while playing videogames but it's normal i guess

I really, really wanted to like this phone. It was the perfect balance of specs without being a phablet like every phone is now. If I had written this review earlier, it would've gotten 5 stars, but, that was before....the phone slid off a chair seat 2' from the floor and completely bricked. Normally, I'd do some quick repairs, but Sony phones are a bit unforgiving in this department (have to heat the glue, etc).Moved to the OnePlus 3 and I'm not looking back. I admit, I was a Sony fanboy, but the water-resistance isn't enough to warrant the price or the apparent frailty of the device.

just DON'T buy it. If you're part of the lucky group which doesn't face overheating issues...well it is a really good phone but if you aren't, I have to say, you just got an expensive toaster. Overheats a LOT, battery last nothing, lagging sometimes due to the processor overheats, recording a video? You can do it just for a couple of minutes or even less. More than once I had to take it out of my pocket because It was burning my leg (I'm not exaggerating), Maps + Spotify? It's a nice way to kill your brand new phone. Maybe saying this everybody could get a better picture of the issue: overheats even running WhatsApp and Chrome. It's not my first Xperia Z phone series and well.... this one is very disappointing.

Comes with tons of Sony bloatware. Doesn't hold up. Gets very hot. No support from Sony if you're in the US market and need a repair. Screen cracked after fall from 3 feet onto concrete floor. Had protective case and tempered glass screen protector, but still cracked on impact. Now it's an expensive paperweight.

Beautiful, functional and reliable smartphone. Has a decent battery life and impressive camera.
