The media could not be loaded. The battery is very weak or the signal generated by the remote control is very low. You have to place the remote next to the DVR ( actually touching the DVR), to get it to work. Unacceptable.Update: I recorded 4 FPV flight of my 250 quad. The recording quality is so terrible I have to assume the product is defective. I experienced persistent frame loss; distorted images; colors bleeding or washed out. This recording was done at the highest image setting available with this DVR. The image was fed to the DVR from a very reliable video receiver and transmitter system. I have recorded my flights with another cheaper DVR recorder that produced much better images. I'm very disappointed with this product. Again, I assume it must be broken. I will be sending it back and may order another, just to give the supplier the benefit of doubt.

Excellent DVR for security camera! Has guarded my house for six months without fail! Cold weather does not bother it and easily connects to camera. Playback at variety of speeds up to 16X to speed searches.

The device works as instructed. Its a bit slow getting around the menu and you have to use the remote to work it and change the modes. Not sure what you would do without a remote or a dead remote battery. For the recordings I needed this unit for the pic quality was acceptable.Important!: The ad has misinformation in the bullet points:It does NOT Support 64 GB SD card to record 7-8 days continually- it doesn't read the card.Further in the description it says 32 GB max -and when Amazons "other people purchased with this item" comes up, the 64GB mini w/adapter card is there.Unless there is a new and old unit in Amazon's fulfillment inventory, I would stick with a standard 32GB SD max.It worked perfectly with an 8GB card.

Too complicated a menu system. Thought I had it dialed in only to find out it didn't record when I needed it to most. Sure, pilot error, but it's just not intuitive enough, too much room for error. Too hard to figure out and dial in.

Don't waste your money on this. The video is so choppy that it cannot be viewed. If I had the box I would send it back for refund but it was disposed of before we used the DVR. How something can be on the market that works like this is beyond all comprehension. I got bit on this one... don't you do the same.
