JPT3815W-HD Wireless Surveillance IP/Network Security Camera, Baby Monitor, Night Vision, Black

First of all, I only use this camera while on vacation to keep an eye on my cat. With that said, I cannot review this camera on its long-term use since I don't have it running 24/7 like some people might.Basically, this is a great security camera for when you're away from home. It has a complete 360 degree view wherever you place it, and that includes the ceiling. Yes, you can install it upside-down on your ceiling to give you the ultimate view of your entire home, but don't worry - the video feed won't be upside-down on your phone or computer, because you can adjust/flip the feed accordingly. The camera's software setup was a breeze. I feel like most people who have used smartphones will have no problem setting this camera up. If you have a smartphone, it's as easy as downloading an app and following the instructions included. If you're only using a computer, it's probably even easier. Once setup, you can have multiple people viewing the feed if you desire. "Guests" can log in to watch, but won't be able to mess with any of the adjustments which is nice. The 720p HD is nice, but I think the night-vision is spectacular.There are a few downsides that aren't too bad. The camera switches to night-vision automatically when it gets too dark, so make sure if you're going to be gone all day you turn out all the lights before you go! You'll be able to see better in night-vision! If you leave lights on, you'll be left with very poor quality "day" vision and you'll hardly be able to see anything. Night-vision is crystal clear, so stick with that when you can! The other issue is sound. Yes, it has two-way audio which means you can listen to the video feed and also talk through the camera as well...but not at the same time? No, you couldn't have a reasonable conversation using the two-way audio, and no the sounds aren't very intelligible on either side. So, don't expect to do much with this camera's audio features, because, to be blunt, it sucks.In conclusion, this is an amazing security camera for when you're away from home. It has a lot of bells and whistles for a reasonable price, and even without the best two-way audio, I still think it's the best security camera you can buy. If you're like me and only use it while on vacation, this camera is very easy to setup each time after the initial installation. Simply, place it on a table and plug it in. Then when you're done, unplug and store in a closet. I love it!

Good camera for the price. Initially had some problems with having the computer and camera pairing, but after contacting customer support everything works very well. Only giving a review of 4 instead of 5 because the "New Tenvis" android app will not work, even after requesting an update from Google. I used another program and the phone will work on it. Hoping an upcoming update will fix the problem.Night vision picture is excellent. All features of the camera perform very good, and I am pleased with the overall function of this camera.If you're wanting a good security camera, and don't want to spend a lot of money, I suggest you give this model a try.Update: going to give 5 stars for customer service, was emailed twice with instructions on a fix for my problem. Good working camera, highly recommended.Update: 7/20: Please note that this camera is not equipped for SD card recording. If you need a camera for recording of motion, this is not for you. I did not realize this until after owning the camera for about a week. The camera will alert you that motion is detected, but will not record.I wish the seller would have noted this. I need a camera that will record, customer service will not allow me to trade to another camera without first sending this one back. I am lowering my score to 2.Lowering my score to 1. Customer service would not contact me back, so just save yourself some time and buy a better camera.Update 8.4.15Do not buy any Tenvis camera. Customer service is extremely poor and you will regret losing your money to this company.Update: 3.29.18Do not buy this camera or any other camera that uses "lifeonline" app. The app is no longer listed on the play store or app store so now the camera is worthless. I would like Amazon to look into this problem with this company. DO NOT BUY!!!!! RIPOFF!
