Braven BRV-XL - Waterproof Speaker with 16 Hours of Playtime - Rugged - Black

I have a lot of Braven Bluetooth speakers about five but this one is my first portable boombox from them. And I am not disappointed in the sound quality or construction of this machine. The sound is incredible the bass is very thick and the treble is perfect. I have read some reviews saying the base is not that great I don't know what's wrong with their phone or tablet but they better check it because the bass on this is awesome! It connects via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet very easily the battery life is incredible I charged it two days ago and I am still going strong what about 2 hours to 3 hours of playing each day over the last three days. I have been watching this portable Bluetooth speaker now for about 5 months and I have been waiting for the price to drop I know braven is lowering and discontinuing the price of a lot of their speakers I believe they have new speakers coming out at the end of the year so this is a good chance to buy this if you see it under a hundred bucks like I did.. pick it up you will not be disappointed!

Love it! Wish it was a little louder . If you are looking for something with big boom then this isn’t it. But for backyard and little social gatherings it’s great!

When you plug them in to charge no light comes on ... when they're charged a green light comes on. Never had a battery-powered device not indicate that charging was taking place.You just have to hope, I guess.The good news is they synced for stereo perfectly and provided great sound for a streamed Joe Bonamassa concert.

I was looking for a bluetooth speaker to gift to my partner. He often drives our 1980 dump truck long distances as part of his farm work. The truck has no audio jack, no cassette, and no cigarette lighter. This speaker works great to avoid 10 hours of the radio and I love that it can charge his phone as well. I also wanted something he could use in the greenhouse or in the field in summer, so dust and water resistance was key. We haven't used it too much yet, but we're overall happy with it. The reason I knocked off a star is because A) the deep tone when you turn it off is extremely annoying B) the charging plug is really hard to find

Very loud, great sound quality but the battery does not last 16 hrs especially if you have it loud

Battery lasted about 7 hrs on a full charge at max volume. I use this speaker outside at work and it’s definitely not as loud as a Braven Ready Elite or a Brv-HD, hence why I have it running at max volume. I ordered a second one to pair with but the second speaker gave me a lot of static sounds and popping while in Bluetooth. Will be returning the second one. This speaker is just as loud at my Brv blade but definitely with a little bit more bass. I absolutely love braven products and prefer them over Sony and jlb due to the fact that you USED to get great quality for a reasonable price. But it seems like ever since Braven got bought out by Zagg the quality of internal materials have without a doubt tanked. Really sad to see such a good brand ruined by a company more focused on owning companies for profit than for quality. I very much hope Zagg ups their R&D and bumps up quality on these in the future but I will now consider Sony and jlb products when I look to purchase another speaker.

This product is exactly what I wanted.....LOUD. Very good for what I use it for.

Me llego bien el equipo pero llego sin nada de batería y no prendia la luz al conectarla es normal que pase eso?Ya prendió y pero al subirle el volumen se escucha mal de un lado al parecer es falla de fabrica junto con la batería porque se descarga muy rápido comencé la devolución desde diciembre y hasta hoy no han pasado por el paquete ya van más de 5 veces que ase agenda pero no pasan.

I have high expectations about this speaker but was greatly disappointed with the battery life.It went off after 5hours of play unlike the 16hours playtime described.
