The speaker is massive sound is decent too but my main complaint is that just by looking at it you would think it would get a lot louder. I mean this thing is good 20 something inches long my ready elite was louder in terms of mids and highs, only thing this has going for it is bass. There is no way this is a 100 watt speaker. I Gave it 3 stars just because the sound it does have isn't bad, I just don't see why it doesn't get louder.UPDATE: so I found that playing music off of apps like Pandora and Spotify are to blame for the low volume issue I was having, a music player I have with a great equalizer made a huge difference and this speaker sounds amazing. Now the problem is the battery life. On full blast the battery just doesn't hold up, within an hour it went from 90 percent to 40% with the red light even turning on. Another issue is that it doesn't charge 100%, as soon as it connects to my phone after a whole day of charging it reads 90% and quickly starts to drop. Im a little worried about getting it wet as well. The flap that opens up so you can charge the speaker is far from a snug fit and easily opens without much force. Rating it by sound alone I give it a 4. Braven can easily make this speaker a 5 by improving the battery and making it lighter, yes this is one heavy speaker!

This is my Fourth braven speaker. I own two BRV-HD's (One was recently sank and lost in a river), OG XXL, and now the XXL2. The speaker itself is beautiful and a work of art. Color scheme is mean and shape is sleek. The size is what gets me is the size. Buying a PORTABLE party speaker means you bring it with you whever you go. Best speaker is the one that you have on you, ready to blast. This speaker is nearly 18 pounds! For the size, you would expect bigger sound. Unfortunately even with the EQ adjustments, it feels like the speaker should be putting out more sound (but that's just me). Battery life is alright, but definitely not 14 hours when bass and volume is turned up all the way. Water resistant rating does not make sense with Zagg's advertisment of this speaker floating. Nor am I going to attempt to try.I feel that ever since Braven was bought out by Zagg, they have lost focus on audio quality. I always felt as if they were a too competitor in the market. This is the second XXL speaker. Battery capacity is the same. EQ settings are the same. Sound is a minor improvement. This is a revamp or an iPhone 6S.Is this the best speaker on the market? IMO - No.Is this one hell of a deal for $250? Yes. Plug it in and enjoy music in a garage or beach house. Otherwise, have fun passing this speaker around if you have to move it anywhere far. I would give this speaker a lower rating but don't want to discourage anyone from purchasing.

I purchased a much larger Sony XB90 and returned it because it had no response below 60hz. Got this one based on the reviews and couldn't be happier. Can't comment on the battery yet. Will update.The sound out of the box is just ok. Download a 10 band eq and you can get this thing sounding excellent. Love it.

I really like this speaker. I’m not gonna lie. It definitely could be a little louder, as others have said. But, for my use. It’s loud enough. But yeah, for the drivers and the size of this thing, I’d think it should be louder. If your buying it for loudness, you might want to look elsewhere. If your looking for great Bluetooth sound for casual listening indoors and out, it works and works well!What got me was the sound. It sounds amazing! Zagg really did a good job with keeping that Braven sound. I also own the XL/2 but, this one sounds better in every way, and that’s a damn good speaker too.I love the EQ adjustments you can make right on the speaker, and they work well. And, it sounds great at low or high volumes.Build quality is excellent! It’s a tank, and very well made. It’s heavy (in a good way), but with the handle build in, it’s easy to move around.For me it’s a keeper, unless the battery drains too fast, but so far so good. I never really need it to go more than 4 hours at a time anyway.I’m happy and looking forward to using this in our screened room!!If you want quality Bluetooth sound, this is it!

This speaker sounds really good(not the absolute best but it's still better and more clear than a LOT of other speakers) the bass hits hard if the sound is turned up. But what I don't like about this speaker is that the battery for me only lasts about 5 hours. I don't know if this is a problem with the battery or if the speaker battery only lasts that long?

This speaker has amazing bass, and is more than enough for a family size room, or even a home garage, but I try using it at the swimming pool and I have to drop the bass a little, and treble boost it, and even then its a tad bit quiet. The battery is just like described in the description, high volumes cause it to run out of battery faster though, of course. Overall pleased, but would like it a tad louder. The bass makes up for it

I like the speaker. Be aware it is big and heavy, about 18 pounds. My biggest disappointment is the battery life is Way less than they say, only a few hours before glows red indicating it needs charged. The sound quality is very good though. It seems more durable than others I’ve had but hard to know since I haven’t had it long.

Was a little disappointed by the initial loudness. I guess there really is a break in period. What a beast. Can't really say to much about battery, I have no complaints.As far as thickness, not sure about this, but if it's what I think it is, with my phone, the eq capabilities are extremely adequate.It's heavy, I knew that when I ordered it.Overall, it's way more than I expected.

La batterie tient vraiment pas longtemps et je m’attendais à ce qu’il joue plus fort mais en ce qui concerne le son à 360* c’est son point fort par rapport aux autres. Je suis un peu déçu car je m’attendais à plus contre tenue de la première version.
