secure eyeglasses lanier
These are lightweight, seems very durable. But mostly the ends are very secure but easy enough to slide your eye ear piece on. Lot of the other ones are either so tight that it's almost impossible to put them in. Or the part you attach to your glasses, comes loose so not very secure! Work better if your glasses are hinged for putting on and off. If you have a larger head the longer version may work better for you so you have more space.

Rubber will weaken/melt in car
I like this retainer, but there's one downside to this product. I keep a pair of readers in my car and hang it from my phone mount when I'm not out. I've had 2 of these fail on the rubber sleeve that attached them to the glasses. I think the issue is leaving them in a hot car.

Extraordinary Customer Service
I bought these eyewear retainer and they work great, except for the fact that my glasses ear arm (or whatever it is called) is really thin so the retainer kept falling off my glasses. I reached out to Chums directly and they said they would send me a new retainer and gave me a choice of what would be best for me. They sent me a new one, and it never falls off.You can always sell a product, but can you maintain customer service? Chums Can!!!

Perfect length and strong grip
This is my second Chums retainer. I bought a longer one from a sporting goods store years ago. The rubber eventually broke down enough that it wouldn't grip the glasses, but that was after years of use. I like that this retainer is a little shorter. It doesn't hang as far down when I have them on my chest, and it is not in the way as much. I don't mind that the wire stands up in the back - I actually prefer it. I have another pair of sunglasses with a cord and a rubber adjustment piece at the end. It is a lot less comfortable and sometimes it requires "adjusting" when it sticks to me or the seat of the car. This retainer does exactly what I want it to do. I have it on a pair of Ray Bans and the ear pieces are large enough that this holds them securely. If you had very thin ear pieces, this might not hold very well. All in all I am pleased with this and have already ordered a second one for another pair!

Not a bad product, esp at the price, but…
The Chums Orbiter Eyewear Retainer is not a bad product and may be exactly what you need. For me it is close but a tad less. The rubber tips are a good thing. They do not press against your skin. But they only fit if your temple pieces are a certain size and shape. More than most should fit, but a few will not. Round cable type temple pieces for example, will not fit.The length of the cord was for me about 2 inches less than preferred. The cord is stiff and juts out behind you. This is not a high style look and it can be a snagging hazard. Not a big deal when it gets hung up in your collar, and I suppose to Others amusing when it gets caught up around a kitten leg when you have one on your shoulders.Speaking of kittens; the cord also look exactly like a cat toy. For some reason they (the cords) are not designed to be chewed upon. The Chums Orbiter Eyewear Retainer is my second try for this kind of thing. I will seakout a third. So far these are my second choice.
