Works perfect! I found the installation to be easy. I did have to shave off a little more of my wood fence on one gate to separate the gap a little more; it was maybe only 1/8" clearance.... so I had to open it up a little bit by using my reciprocating saw. Once that was done, I completed the project. 2 gates total. I purchased the last 2 available, and I'm glad I did. They give a great audible chime when the gate latch is released (pulled up); and then every 5 seconds later it chirps a little more.... I really like it. I use this for my backyard access gates on both sides of home to prevent would be uninvited guests into my backyard. It sits way up high on the 6' fence, out of reach of kids, and my neighborhood has LOTS of kids playing around from yard-to-yard. Glad the kids are free to have fun, but this latch and alarm helps me to feel more certain that when people attempt to enter uninvited, then they are breaking a barrier that is not planned - and it likely will make them think twice before entering my back yard. I have no idea why there are not any more available at this time; these are great tools. Perhaps they don't sell a lot of them, they are a bit pricey.... but when you need security for kids, family, protection.... paying $150 per lock is worth it (ok, $99 would be better - but I'm happy with this MagnaLatch Alert set)!!!!! Easy to install, locks/fastens smooth, has a separate lockable (key) option when you go away for long periods of time. I bought a TB175 gate closer to auto close both my gates, and these 2 pcs of hardware are truly fantastic!!!! Please stock back up, so others can order! Highly Recommend!!

Works perfectly. My 7 month old rottweiler puppy cannot get out. He was able to move the gate before because it was not secured properly. Now we have installed this product with the alarm on it. He has stood against it and pushed it, with no success in opening it. The rod iron gate did not bulge. I would recommend this product.

This latch was fairly simple to install and is perfect for my pool gate. The open beep and the gate open alarm are well designed to alert, but not be annoying during regular use.

Great product. Some wishes are a little louder alarm. Also I wish the length of time after the gate was open that the alarm would go off was adjustable. However it's very usable a 15 seconds I believe. The instructions need to have some more details. I'm using this on a wooden gate that I normally have locked with a hasp and combo lock. This allows me greater safety with convenience when I need to go in out of the gate a lot knowing that the gate will be locked even if I forget to put the combo lock back on the gate,. or if I leave it open I will hear the alarm alerting me to shut the gateSo it's really being used as a backup safety and convenience device. I have a dog that I don't want to get out of the yard if I forget to shut the gate after working in the yard and using the gate..
