It cranks perfect the first time but after it warms up it doesn't want to crank again
It has to sit for hours after running it once.

Reliabe, durable and starts up every time with little effort
This is the second Ryobi Chain saw I have purchased from Amazon. I have previously owned Stihl and Husquvarna saws which are temperamental in starting and often need total clean-up and overhauls each season after only moderate use. These saws are relatively lighter than those other brands, start every time and go a good few hrs before needing chain re-tensioning. Each season just replace the air filter and spark plug, use regular/unleaded gas and you are ready to go as if the saw was just unpacked from the box. I highly recommend these saws and will buy again in the future.

Did I spend $191.24 well ?
It is an excellent presentation, but I was disappointed, no calibration, it was hard to calibrate and the calibration changed whit de vibration, and the chain did not cut, obviously it needs a new one.Did I spend $ 191.24 well?

Great Chainsaw!
This chainsaw was exactly what I needed. I have a house on an acre in Virginia, and when I needed to clear fallen trees from the winter storm - this chainsaw handled the trees with no problem. Only at 18" it isn't bulky or heavy. It was easy to wield when I had to get on the roof of my house to clear away a broken over tree. This chainsaw is also with me in the back of my vehicle when I'm off-roading/overlanding because of it's mobility and versatility.Highly recommended.

Pretty good saw for the money
I wore out my old gas chain saw and needed a new one. Would have preferred a Stihl or Echo but since I use the saw infrequently I didn’t want to spend that much money. The reviews for this Ryobi looked pretty good and I’ve had pretty good experiences with their products. Immediately after purchasing it I used it for a full day on a volunteer “chain gang” helping clear trees and limbs from hurricane Laura from half a dozen private residences. I can confirm that this saw does a pretty good job, especially for something in this price range. But there are some issues with it.When following the instructions for a cold start the saw always started right up as it is supposed to. And, when I needed to shut off the saw off for a minute or two, for example to clear some brush out of the way, and I followed the instructions for a “warm start” the saw usually started up again after a couple to a few rope pulls. But throughout the day I often encountered a lot of trouble restarting the saw when it sat for long enough to not be “warm” and not long enough to be “cold” again. In these in-between cases following the warm start instructions would sometimes get the saw to start but then it would die in a few seconds and refuse to start again. Throughout the day I tried different combinations of a little choke, and/or a primer bulb push or two with mixed results. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn’t. In these in-between cases following the cold start instructions never worked well. I think that flooded the engine since it took many rope pulls to clear it out and start again. To be fair other guys on our team with other brands of saws were having similar problems (but not the guys with the Echo and Stihl saws). So restarting the saw was sometimes very frustrating (I knocked off a star for this). The other issue I encountered with this saw is that it really is underpowered for the bigger stuff. I expected that based on other reviews I had seen and I intentionally tried not to push the saw too hard. For example I would not put any downward force on the chain and just let the chain do the work. The guys on our crew also traded off on the big cuts so that none of us were pushing our saws hard continuously. But I noticed that the engine had a tendency to try to bog down on the bigger limbs even though the chain was still sharp and the cut was wide open. Then the first time I needed to cut a full 18-inch pine tree trunk I was careful not to let the engine bog but even so about halfway through the cut the engine started getting very hot and I could feel it throwing off heat big time through my heavy leather work gloves. I backed off and let somebody else finish the cut. Later when that happened the second time the engine died and I couldn’t get it restarted for about an hour. The chain oiler did a good job and my chain was still in remarkably good condition at the end of the day.In summary, except for some irritating trouble restarting a semi-warm engine, the saw does a pretty good job if you don’t want to cut big stuff continuously.(by the way, the undisputed champion saw in our team's line up was a Stihl Farm Boss)
