Works well for bug bites. Also I used it ...
Works well for bug bites. Also I used it on my cat who was having food allergies from fish. I put on flat cortton pads to help him, allergy appears on back of legs/rump with scabs/ hair loss. Vet said to use. I used this as I weaned him off food with fish they add to cat food. He is 20 pounds so unable to lick it off - otherwise don't use if animal can get the the area u are treating!

Disagreed with some of the reviews, specially those about the nozzle
I read all the reviews before purchasing this product and now that I'm using it, I would like to point out:1- I cannot understand the problem that people have with the nozzle. Using the nozzle is a no-brainer. You twist the cap and that's it. If you've ever used the Neutrogena sun block mists, it's the same thing.2- Spraying the product it's actually not difficult even if you're spraying your back. The nozzle has some ridges and if you just press lightly with your thumb, the product dispenses. I'm north of 65 and putting cream/lotion on my back is not the easiest of tasks. I found that the spray system makes it easier.3- It is a cream and you have to spread it, and since you control were you're spraying you use less product and it's easier to spread4- It's great to use at the gym or while traveling.5- I find it less greasy than the Curel in the pump container. Maybe for the reason explained in #3 if it is the same formulation as the pump container. So overall I recommend this product and did not experience any of the difficulties I read in the reviews. I buy tons of stuff from Amazon, I've been doing this for years and this is my third review of a product. I'm lazy that way, but in this case I wanted to give credit were credit is due in view of some of the reviews

Difficult to spray
Good product, but takes more strength to spray than other brands. I bought this one because it is unscented.

Good, but not great
This is a good product -- but not as good as some of Curel's other products. It works but is not long lasting. Itching will often return after only an hour or two. In addition, after about three months of use, the spray stopped working properly. I had to alter how I applied it to my scalp, and it was more messy. I will buy this product again, but only because it is the only one that has worked at all.

Selling old products that are non-functional
Only one of the cans would spray the other one was non-functional. I contacted Amazon today and they are giving me a refund because of the non-functional can. I also contacted the makers of the product who informed me that these cans were four years old but the product is no longer in production. It’s unfortunate but I also wish I knew I was buying a product that was four years old before I purchased it!

Spray is not easy to use
The spray is very difficult for me to use. I have some arthritis in my hands but even when I can get it to spray I must hold the can completely upright to get anything to come out. I ended up throwing it away due to the difficulty in getting it to spray.

Curel Itch Defense "little secret"!
Yes, this is a great product that works instantly to stop the itch. It is an excellent moisturizer also. That being said, the instructions do not mention that this aerosol has a "safety cap". You must twist the cap to line up the hole in the cap with the inner hole. If you do not take this step, the product will not dispense. Order more than one, you will be very glad you did.

Not Worth the Cost
I hoped this would be a spray-on moisturizer and anti-itch lotion that I could use quickly and in hard to reach areas like my back. But nope, that's not what it is. It's just a spray bottle of thinner Curel anti-itch lotion that you can buy in a pump bottle MUCH cheaper. The spray bottle is hard to use. The spray button has to be pushed very hard and doesn't work in some positions. The lotion spurts out in gobs and gets on everything around you. And even if you manage to get it everywhere you want, you still have to rub it in which defeats the whole purpose of a spray bottle.Curel anti-itch lotion in the pump bottle is 37¢/oz while the same lotion in the spray bottle is $1.48/oz - an inferior product at four times the price.
