Ray-Ban Men's RB3509 Oval Sunglasses

I only buy RayBan glasses. The combination of Polarized + Anti-reflective coating is a must have for me. Having owned 4 different pairs of RayBan over the past 10 years, I expect stylish glasses with great quality lenses - very sturdy and hard to scratch with great protection. I loved the design and looks of these glasses, but unfortunately, the lenses quality is not what I expected. These are too easy to scratch - an I am a very, very careful with my glasses - always store them in a case, clean them with special cloth, etc. Also, when the arms are folded, the rubber end of the arm touches the inside of the lens and actually damages the anti-reflective coating at the spot where they meet. This rubs an irritating spot I can see with my peripheral vision. What's worse is this damage occurs while the glasses are in their case - the case is tight and presses the arm to the lens causing the damage. A friend has the same model and complained of the same issue.While I still love the design of these glasses, I cannot recommend them as the lens quality is disappointing from durability stand point. This is the latest pair of Ray Bans I own, i've had them for 18 months now. I've had my other pairs for over 3 , 5 and 7 years respectively and no such issues. I hope the manufacturer is not compromising quality to save cost.

I own Two other pairs of this exact same model which were bought five years ago at an actual sunglasses store in California- this one pair of RB’s bought on Amazon feel considerably lighter than those bought at the actual store. Now those two other pairs were bought five years ago and it could be they feel heavier because now RB came up with a lighter version; in which case, it’s Ray-Ban’s marketing mistake. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Amazon shipped the glasses in a bubble Amazon bag and not a hard box, and the glasses themselves did not come in their original grey and red factory original RayBan box-So I’m highly dubious of the authenticity of this Amazon bought pair of glasses!?

This is a second time purchase for a very dear friend of mine - one was for Christmas and the other one for his Birthday because he lost the first one after a couple of years! He absolutely loves this Rayban model. The arms are pretty sturdy and the quality of the lens good!The only reason I'm giving it a 4 stars instead of 5 is because the screws that join the arms to the main frame over a few months tend to loosen up and have to be tightened. Overall a good purchase! This time, I'd send the link to him if, he looses the shades again! :D

I have had Ray Bans in the past, and consider them the standard in premium sunglasses. This pair is no exception, They are very well made. The hinges have zero play, and the temples and frames look exactly as they do in the photos. It's always a gamble buying glasses without the benefit of trying them on to see how they fit and look on your face. These glasses have more curvature, and wrap around your face more than other aviator style Ray Bans I have had in the past; A feature that I think is an improvement. The lenses are super clear, and the gradient transitions well from top to bottom. These glasses fit me well, but are not small . I would consider my head width average to slightly wider than average. If you have a narrow head, these glasses will look too big for your head.

This was what I got for valentines day, I suffer from migraines so sunglasses are a must have, I am hands down a ray-Ban girl because they are so lightweight it doesn't put pressure on my face and cause migraines. These look awesome and are super comfy. Ray-bans are worth the money, you can always tell the difference between cheap or fake sunglasses vs. the real thing and Ray-Ban has never let me down. This is my 3rd pair of Ray-Bans in 10 years and thats only because one was stolen and my lawnmower ate the other pair.

I was very much satisfied with these. Great price for Polarized lenses.

I got these for my self due to my old pair falling off my case and on to the side walk. The lenses got scratched and replacing them would cost me a little more than half of what I paid for the old pair. Might as well buy new ones

If these weren’t knock offs I’d be surprised. The case, while the right shape and logo was made in a cheap material, not the same as my other Raybans. The lens started to crack from day one, after a couple months both lenses are full of micro cracks. I should have just spent $25 on ones that I knew were knock offs.

I love my new Ray Bans. I have always bought Ray bans, but for the last several years I have had to wear prescription sunglasses. After having an op on both eyes I can wear normal sunglasses again. I have been borrowing my hubbies as he has the gunmetal but they at too masculine for my likingI treated myself to these for my holiday and I was not disappointed. They look lovely on and they came quite quickly, and free delivery to boot! The price was something to smile about too, as they were cheaper than most other vendors and they are polarised.What more can I say other than I am really chuffed as I go on holiday this weekend and looking forward to wearing my new glasses. I would definitely buy from Red Hot Sunglasses again
