The translator finally got it right.
This volume fixes a lot of the problems I had with the translations of the first four volumes. Chapter titles are now "Time of" and "Time to" instead of the goofy, all-over-the-place titles that plagued the series up until now. And keep in mind that this is important: in Japanese, the chapter titles are always "Noun Time" or "Verb Time," following a very rigid formula. The point is to draw emphasis to whatever is modifying "Time," since it usually foreshadows a significant plot development, theme, or wordplay in the chapter. In the first four volumes, the radically different formulas placed the emphasis on "Time," which shouldn't happen. So I'm glad it got fixed here. Also, judging by the character profiles, they still can't decide how they want to spell "Jelavic." Sometimes it has an h on the end, sometimes it doesn't. The translation throughout the book is much better than it was before, avoiding the non sequiturs (*Itona crashes through wall* "You just came in through the door - literally - but...") and bizarre wording ("You will use the anti-me knife which is harmless to humans") that distracted readers of previous volumes. In general, the translation seems more faithful to the original Japanese, opting to keep subtle metaphors and wordplay where they might have been eliminated if done in the style of the first few volumes.I pray that this was not a fluke, and that future volumes will be as well done as this was.

Another Great Assassination Classroom Volume
Tetsuichiro Miyaki delivers yet another fantastic english translation and adaptation of the Assassination Classroom storyline. The translator seems well suited for these types of story as I was looking back through my volumes and noticed they did Bakuman as well as the currently running Twin Star Exorcists, all stories that had somewhat heavier leanings into the Japanese language with either some word play or just more pop culture in that regard. This was a well done volume of Assassination Classroom carrying us through the end of the baseball arc to fully covering the new teacher Takaoka arc. This volume brought us closer to Karasuma and understanding Nagisa. I found it enjoyable and well paced. In terms of quality, there were no typos or akward phrases. Pages were cleaned nicely, sound effects and general text was lettered professionally. Extras were few this volume though, there was small afterward about the cover design provided from the author. Additionally there were still character profiles in between chapters or just alternate dialogue for some key panels in chapters, but in terms of post volume content there was little.Overall this was another great addition to the bookshelf.
