The lense is bigger than the normal door viewers which does give a very good view from the inside, and since the size is bigger you could actually see from the outside too if you move to around 20 cms away from the lense and look straight in to it. It would have been good if it had a sort of a cover on the inside which you could close, but it doesn’t have that either, so ya if privacy is your concern, this one won’t do you any good.
