I’ll give it 2 stars
I’m a truck driver and I had the GPS for a while I’m ok the directions and address .... the GPS has no sound it came like that when I bought it I return it and got the same GPS with the same problem No Sound! Well I started to use it and got used to driving without the GPS sound, most of the time I’m driving with the Radio on I’m ok with that ... the GPS soport mount when there’s a bump it falls and I hated and I had to glue it and it works fine .. so far nothing illegal it takes me on the streets with truck routes no problems it gives you alternative routes it updates thru the radio you set it to the radio station and that’s how you get the update it’s not accurate like when there’s a accident it won’t tellIf you want accurate updates you have to subscribe and pay like $100 dlrs a month ...trip log can’t be saved Some reason won’t work so I do it manuallyMy opinion on the GPS I’ll say for the money you spent isn’t that bad but I’ll recommend to look for something else today is December 11 and I’ll keep using until it breaks down or I throw it to the window ,, or run it over with the 18 wheeler lol...

smart look and feel
This is my first GPS, over the years i was using my cell phone as a GPS but it blocks my phone only for GPS. I love this big screen and great design. It charge and work without power for couple of hours is also a great feature. I would say interface is difficult to use as compare to phone GPS, where we can do voice search which is way faster. but if you are going long tour you must have it. It's best value of your money.

So far loving it: Directions are ?lacking?
Okay, so for me half the fun is figuring it out. Yes, the directions are somewhat lacking. That said: If you take the time and go thru one menu at a time and the sub-menus you will find what you need.If you find yourself on a Map Screen and can't seen to get back to Tools. There is a triple horizontal bar icon. Press and Hold.People have stated its too bright at night. There is a Primary Back Light setting for the device on the very opening screen additionally another Backlight setting in the Map Tools area. Also under Map Settings there is a option to switch SunRise/Sunset Day/Night screen it does not come active as a default. There are also 12 themes for Daylight and 12 themes for NightLight.I do wish I could turn off the E-Log for a truck Vehicle type - option. While driving address appear for each side of the road.I do not use this for Directions - I only use as a location, Next Road ahead and Digital Speedometer.I have only used the Mapping software in this device. There is so very much more to it. Reading SD cards for Music and Videos. FM Station broadcasting its audio to your vehicle's radio. etc.

Works great for intended use.
I do not use this unit to give me directions to locations, but to give accurate current location for work. Display is easy to read and gives very accurate location and orientation. Suction cup has been up for several months in various temperatures and has stayed in position. Only negative I have found is unit requires multiple steps and menus to access brightness settings. I have had no issues with signal in approximately 8 months of usage.

Still need a map handy.
I like that it will get you from point a to point b. Kinda hard to know the sequence of steps while setting up a route. It likes highways, even when they’re not the shortest route. Finally figured out how to avoid specific roads. Ended up resting it between the seats as neither bracket nor suction cup worked well. No volume control found. And sick of being told I’m over the speed limit! It waits nice at stop lights.Doesn’t always recognize the end of the route and shutting it off doesn’t always reset it.

It is really a very easy to use and convenient product, like it very much
I have 2 GPS before this. One is very old, 4 in, like a fat iphone 4 and the other is 5 in. They cost $100 if I remember correctly at that time, yet the manufacturer stopped the support, saying the storage is too small for map updates. So I got this for my up coming ski trip near Seattle. I don't know if map on my phone works when celluar works intermittently, especially when I'm in mountains. A GPS without network, works alone as there is sky and running car, will be my best buddy. I hope people will not break my window for this.In the box there are many accessories. I tried the GPS a bit and found there is even games on it? Why does the manufacturer think people play game on GPS? Anyway, as long as the map update works I'm okay with it.
