Best 12' tape out there
There are a thousand measuring tapes for sale. The Stanley 12' is perfect for professional and around the house use. It is all metal and the retract spring has the right amount of tension. The belt clip isn't really necessary but here is the best part. The case is exactly 2" long making measuring into a blind corner easy and accurate. Push the tape into the corner, read the tape and add 2"..Done.

My go to ruler
I have used my 12' retractable Stanley ruler for everything over the last 20 years and I put a bend and a crack near the tip so I searched for a replacement and I came right back to another one of these. Best pricing was a 2 pack so now I have one in each part of my shop. I did not notice any changes in this new one and if it works and lasts like my old one then it is still a winner and the best choice for a 12' retractable ruler IMO.

Don’t waste your money. Not built like they used to be.
Garbage! Been using these for years at work. We’re always made with a metal housing. Like everything in this world they have gone to plastic and just painted it chrome. Junk. Won’t buy again

It's hard to remove from the packaging.
After I figured out how to get it out of the package, it was great.
