Dish 54.1 Voice Command Remote Control for Hopper with Google Assistant

So my old remote fell off the mantle of my fireplace and the bricks busted it into a million pieces. I called dish for a replacement and they told me it would be $48 and some change. No way I’m paying that much for a remote. I’m glad I told them no thanks because this is a legit dish remote (not a knock off) for half of the price dish sells them for. Set up was easy, between the paper it comes with a YouTube video anyone should be able to do it. But don’t get your replacement from dish, this is almost exactly half the price and the exact same thing.

Our Dish remote quit working, probably from a couple years of our dog knocking it off the couch onto the floor. I initially looked for a replacement through Dish but their pricing was too confusing so I came to Amazon. Glad I did! This remote ended up being slightly less expensive and even though I'm sure it's the same as the 54.0 remote it replaced, it somehow is more comfortable to hold. I also appreciated the instructions that were included about how to pair this with my Hopper receiver. Very simple to unpair our old remote and pair the new one. I was very happy to be able to fast forward through shows again! (Our TV remote can navigate through most of the stuff with our Hopper but fast forwarding/skipping forward is a little tricky. And who likes to watch commercials?)

I switched from Directv to Dish and wanted an extra remote. This one is the same as the original given to me at Dish installation. The Directv remote that I replaced was easier to use. It had buttons that were available that this one does not have and has to be selected by going through a couple menus. For example, it seems that both Directv and Dish control boxes drop my wifi a lot. With Directv, it showed when the wifi was not connected and was easy to reconnect. With Dish, you find out through some message displayed when needing to use the wifi and have to go through at least 4 menu selections to get it back.It seems that the snowflakes that are always on their phones love to push and select and enter and this remote fits just their needs.

It was easy to sync to tv. Works great, just like the one that came with our tv. The voice recognition works perfect also. I would buy again. It’s handy having two remotes

Just got Dish last week but needed extra remotes for LR & BR to keep the peace. These remotes arrived this morning and I was able to quickly link them to the system on their respective TV's and both worked great.

Bought this because my dog chewed up our new remote. Wasnt sure if this would be as good as the Dish remote from the technician. This remote is perfect. Cant tell the difference. Works perfectly.

Don't laugh, it happens to all of us if we are lucky enough to grow old. I spilled a cappuccino the other day and it went inside my dish remote. I cleaned it and dried it as well as I could but apparently it got inside and now the buttons stick so I ordered this new one.

The remote worked fine. No trouble pairing it to the receiver. Problem was, it ate batteries. Fresh batteries only lasted two days. Something wrong here, so I had to return it. I guess it was just defective. I will order another and hopefully have better luck.
