Good substantively, but loaded with grammatical errors
The substance of the book is great. It explains the law of corporations very well in clear language. It is not a quick summary like the Gilbert's series, but is much better are helping to gain a solid understanding. However, it is full of typos and grammatical errors which sometimes cause you to be confused about what they are really trying to say. I am shocked that West would let this book publish with these blatant errors in the book. It a shame as I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for these mistakes.

VERY HELPFUL BUY IT
I STRUGGLED in BA. After I failed my midterm, I bought this and read it and studied it a couple times a week up to the final and it REALLY HELPED. I ended up with a B in the class.

Overly Complex, Trying too hard for Political Correctness
The book uses overly complex descriptions for simple concepts. Also, EVERY SINLGE example given in the book is given in female tense ("if a CEO feels that she..." "When applying for corporate status, a business owner should make sure that she does..."). Normally this would seem normal, but using "she" and "her" for every single situation in the book is trying too hard to be politically correct and it is obvious and it shows when reading the chapters.

Pretty good
First, let me preface by saying that business law is not my favorite. I didn't like the class (no fault of the professor) and really hated reading the casebook. This book helped me get through corporations section of my business enterprises class. It explained key cases in a succinct manner and in lay man's terms. Not sure how accessible this would be to someone without some background in law, but it is useful to a law student.

The Law of Corporations in a nutshell, 6th edition, Hamilton/Freer, West Publications, 2011
This publication explains all the nuts and bolts about The law of Corporations and is a companion really to the textbook/casebook by the same author. That's why it was recommended by out law professor as a supplement to the casebook.

great supplement!
I bought this book to use in studying for my corporate law class, and it has been incredibly helpful so far! I wish it had a few more cases in it that we discuss in class, but this book does a great job. It's making outlining 10 times easier.

it is good and fast
it is good condition and shipping speed is very fast, I like this book, but if I knew this book is not the newest version, maybe I won't buy it, but anyway, it is a good book.

A dry but important subject, well written and easy to understand
I'll use mine as a reference on a regular basis. Nutshells are hard to beat, well written, concise. How wonderful can a 'technical' manual be? It's about as good as it gets in non-fiction.
